The Girl with Something Extra aired from September 1973 until May 1974 on NBC
Marriages often have rocky starts, but The Girl With Something Extra posed an unusual dilemma for her new spouse. On their wedding night Sally ( Sally Field) informed her husband John ( John Davidson) that she possesed E.S.P. and could read his mind. After deciding that their love was more important than the problems her mind-reading might cause, John and Sally settled down to a decidedly ab-normal marriage. Her ability to read minds, his as well as everyone else's, created embarrassing and amusing situations which formed the basis for most of the stories in this series. Featured were John's brother Jerry (Jack Sheldon), and Sally's friend Annie (Zohra Lampert), both single and platonic friends of each other. John was employed as an attorney with the firm of Metcalf, Kline and Associates. Henry Jones played Owen Metcalf and William Windom played Stuart Kline. Teri Garr was also featured as Amber.
