Meet Corliss Archer ( 1954-1955)

This was the second version of the series and was filmed rather than live. It aired during the 1954-55 season and starred Ann Baker as Corliss Archer. It was the story of a typical highschool girl, her boyfriend Dexter ( Bobby Ellis), and her parents Harry and Janet ( John Eldridge, Mary Brian ). The stories revolved around the energetic and vivacious Corliss as she made the transition from little girl to young woman. This sitcom was based on the CBS radio series that ran from 1943 until 1955. An earlier live version ran on CBS from January 1951 until March 1952.
