(see this users gallery) The Good Guys aired from September 1968 until January 1970 on CBS.
Fresh from his success in Gilligan's Island, Bob Denver moved into the role of Rufus Butterworth in this 1968 comedy series. Rufus and Bert Gramus ( Herb Edelman), had been friends since they were children. Bert was married to Claudia ( Joyce Van Patten), and ran a diner " Bert's Place," while Rufus was single and worked as a cabdriver. Rufus also helped his friend out around the diner, and was constantly coming up with moneymaking schemes, none of which ever seemed to pan out-but all of which got the 2 of them into endless predictaments. Also in the cast was Ron Masak as Andy Gardner and George Furth as Hal Dawson.
Rufus gave up his cabdriving at the start of the 2nd season to become a full time partner in the diner. Joining the cast was Alan Hale Jr. ( Bob Denver's co-star from Gilligan's Island), as Big Tom and Toni Gilman as Gertie. The changes didn't help the ratings and the diner closed it's doors forever in January 1970.
