Series Summary:

My Sister Sam cast

Perky Samantha Russell was 29 years old and her career as a fee-lance commercial photographer in San Francisco was starting to jell. She had a committed, if somewhat fast-talking, agent in J.D. Lucas and a loyal assistant in outspoken Dixie Randazzo. Then her 16-year-old sister, Patti, arrived to take up residence with Sam in the apartment that doubled as her studio. Patti, who reminded Sam of the free spirit she had been as a teenager, was still in high school, and her presence created a number of problems for her older sister. It got in the way of Sam's social life and caused her to wonder about whether she should treat Patti like a sister, a friend, or a daughter--a conflict she never quite resolved. Living across the hall was Sam's good friend Jack Kincaid, a highly successful, globe-trotting photojournalist who provided emotional support when she needed it.
