9p 86-Room at the Bottom
Jack has to do a lot of double-talking when, on his first night as busboy at a posh French restaurant. The gang comes to dinner expecting him, to be the head chef.

9:30p 13-Roper's Car
Greed tarnishes Mr. Roper's integrity when he is led to believe his old car is a valuable classic after he has sold it for \\$200 to Jack, Janet and Chrissy.

10p 1-A Man About the House
In order to convince their landlord, Mr. Roper, that there is nothing going on between them and their new male roommate, Chrissy and Janet tell him that Jack is gay.

10:30p 3-Roper's Niece
Roper feels convinced that his niece will be safe going out with Jack, and Jack would rather be with Janet and Chrissy celebrating Janet's birthday, until he sees the niece.

11p 8-Jack Looks for a Job
Jack, realizing he can't meet his obligations to pay his share of the rent, gets a pert-time modeling job only to find out that he's expected to pose nude. Special Guest SALLY KIRKLAND

11:30p 9-Janet's Promotion
Jack and Chrissy apparently do Janet a disfavor by talking her into trying for a promotion at the florist shop where she works.

12a 14-Cyrano de Tripper
Chrissy, whose skills in the kitchen aren't exactly sharp, invites a gourmet to share a home-cooked dinner, then pleads with Jack to be her secret stand-in-chef.

12:30a 16-Stanley Casanova
Only Jack knows the truth when Chrissy, Janet and Mrs. Roper think that Stanley is fooling around with another woman.

When the roommates meet their new landlord they discover they have accidentally sold all his furniture, thinking it was the Ropers!

Jack becomes caught in a dilemma when Chrissy believes he has bought her an expensive birthday present and the gift turns out to be a surprise for Roper's wife.

10p 17-Janet's High School Sweetheart
Janet looses her cool when the groovy guy and campus Adonis of her high school shows up for a date, and Jack and Chrissy conspire to leave them alone in the apartment.

Chrissy cranks out amateur movies of Jack and Janet, and is misled into thinking she has an "interesting" talent for film making.

11p 25-Jack in the Flower Shop
All work no play makes Jack an angry boy when Janet hires him to work for her and acts like a tough boss.

Jack gets caught in an exasperating willpower contest with Chrissy to determine whether he can give up women for longer than she can give up food.

12a 40-Chrissy's New Boss
Jack and Janet are up in arms when Chrissy announces that she is leaving on an overnight business trip with her new boss.

12:30a 43-The Party's Over
Landlord Stanley Roper plays such a dirty trick on Jack, Janet and Chrissy that his wife walks out on him.

Jack believes Janet and Chrissy are going to oust him from the apartment when their former roommate suddenly shows up.

Chrissy accidentally eats the pie that Jack was entering in a statewide baking competition and then tires to substitute a ringer from the bakery.

While Stanley Roper is selling the apartment building as a wedding anniversary surprise, his wife catches him with the attractive real estate agent and believes her marriage is breaking up.

Jack, Janet and Chrissy's favorite landlord, Stanley Roper, sells their apartment building but resists his wife Helen's desire to move into a new townhouse in a "swinging" development next door to a snobbish relater who thinks they will lower the tone of the community.

Jack writes a nasty letter to a famous food critic, thinking the critic is going to give his bistro a ruinous review. When the critic assures Jack the review will be favorable, Jack tries to retrieve the letter from the critic's desk.

10p 65-The Loan Shark
Jack Tripper's cooking lesson with the seductive wife of a mobster becomes dangerously spiced with hot romance.

10:30p 67-Ralph's Rivals
Ralph Furley tries to impress his childhood rival by introducing Chrissy as his new bride.

11p 73-Handcuffed
When an absent-minded policeman leaves his handcuffs at the trio's apartment, Chrissy and Jack playfully slap the cuffs on each other and then discover there's no key. Special Guest HEATHER LOWE

11:30p 74-And Baby Makes Two
When Janet develops a sudden interest in having a baby, Jack and Chrissy hold some hilarious interviews with the men who they think have answered her advertisement for a father-for-hire.

12a 81-Upstairs, Downstairs, Downstairs
Jack finds himself in a state of panic when he juggles three gourmet dinners in three different apartments.

When Chrissy can't pay her share of the rent, she's helped by her cute, clever but catastrophically clumsy cousin, Cindy. Special Guest KAREN AUSTIN

Jack meets an attractive stewardess, Vicky Bradford; but between her father and her dates, she doesn't seem to have time for Jack. Janet announces her engagement to Philip, while Jack is jealous and lovesick

9:30p 173-Friends and Lovers (Part 1)
Jack thinks Vicky wants to take a job in Houston and encourages her, causing Vicky to think he wants to end their relationship. Vicky interrupts Janet's wedding to find out why. They make up and the ceremony resumes. Jack proposes and is stunned by Vicky's refusal.

10p 174-Friends and Lovers (Part 2)
Vicky explains that she is afraid of marriage and suggests to Jack that they live together. Jack reluctantly agrees. They are toasting their first night together in their new apartment when they are interrupted by Mr. Bradford, who makes a startling announcement.

Jack and Janet find a new roommate after Cindy moves off to dormitory life at nearby UCLA. She's Terri Alden, an emergency room nurse who starts off on the wrong foot with Jack in this sixth-season opener.

Jack and Furley get locked in a freezer together. Convinced they are going to die, they have a heart-to-heart talk, and Jack confesses that he really isn't gay. Once safe, Jack worries because Furley knows the truth about him.
