December 26, 2007 - I hope everyone is well. I am so sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been very busy.  I am still dedicated to the show and this website, so I'll catch everyone up with the latest news!

First off, Three's Company was renewed by TV Land for 6 more years! The first contract was from 2000-2007 and it was expiring at the end of Aug. 2007, but TV Land has renewed it until the end of August 2013.  Also, our friend Eric from JustMyShow.com has posted an interview with our Three's Company bartenders Jim (Paul Ainsley) & Mike (Brad Blaisdell)!  They have never met each other and are talking to each other for the very first time...so this is very cool and a must listen.  And to spice things up, I sent Eric some trivia questions for them to answer! To find out how to listen to this, click HERE.

Next, TV Land and Entertainment Weekly had a special called The 50 Greatest TV Icons of All-Time, and of course John Ritter was in it!  He was #28, but I really think he should have been in the top 20 at least.  Come on Home Simpson and Kermit did higher?  They should be in it, but not higher than John! Another special called Entertainment Tonight's Top 20 TV Stars of All-Time also had John Ritter in it!  He was #2 behind Johnny Carson!  To read about that special, click HERE!

In DVD news, still nothing on The Ropers or Three's a Crowd.  But maybe a Fans Favorites DVD set is in the works. We don't have any further information but the info that was given to us back in April.  Click HERE to read that.

Finally, our good friends Nick and Andy from WGN Radio's The Nick Digilio Show continues to do their "Three's Company Throwdowns" (where fans send in trivia questions to try to and stump our buddy Andy, who is an avid fan of the show!).  They are in Chicago and Chicago has just opened up an actual Regal Beagle called Roper's Regal Beagle.  I REALLY advise you to listen to this.  Part 1 and Part 2.

Also, I am trying my best to get the Upcoming Episodes section for TV Land airings up to date.  I again apologize for this and this is the first time ever since the site opened in 1998 that this section has not been up to date.  I promise from now on, when we have news, I'll update ASAP!  My 2008 resolution!

March 10, 2007 - We are nearing the 30th anniversary on Thursday, and we have just launched the new background for the site!  And don't forget the 30th anniversary marathon on TV Land weekend of March 17-18.  Check the On TV for details. And we have the episodes finally for the Janet's Favorites DVD set coming May 1.  We also have the cover art!  Check the DVD Section for details. Order from Amazon.com! We leave you with the episodes on the set (handpicked by Joyce herself!) and the cover art...

THE CASE OF THE MISSING BLONDE, TWO FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST, CHRISSY’S HOSPITALITY, JANET’S SECRET, JACK’S TATTOO, and BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO.

March 7, 2007 - TV Land has changed the March 17-18 mini-marathon to a full 24-hour 30th Anniversary marathon!  See classic Three's Company episodes, along with both unaired pilots, and two episodes each of BOTH spin-off--The Ropers and Three's a Crowd!  What a great way to celebrate 30 years on television!  Episode info is in the On TV: TV Land section.  Head over there!

February 22, 2007 - The busy news month continues as we get closer to the 30th anniversary, now we have some DVD and spin-off news.  The Capturing the Laughter DVD set featuring the 5 or 6 best episodes of Janet, handpicked by Joyce DeWitt is back on the Anchor Bay schedule and will be issued on May 1.  It will be available nationwide, and not just Best Buy as previously planned. We'll have more details soon. As for the spin-offs on DVD, DLT Entertainment is doing a very good job trying to get them released.  Let's hope a DVD studio like Anchor Bay or Shout! Factory picks them up.  Continue to e-mail them and make our voices heard.  And sticking with the spin-offs, if we have to wait a bit on them to come to DVD, I think we should ALL give a call to TV Land to request that they air them on television.  They have the rights to air every episode of both spin-offs, but they are not airing them regularly.  They have just aired them in one September 2006 marathon thus far.  This is very imperative...if you want both The Ropers and Three's a Crowd on TV Land, please call 1-212-846-2550 and press 1. Then, please leave a message saying that you thank TV Land for airing Three's Company, but you'd like to see all the episodes of both The Ropers & Three's a Crowd also on TV Land, even if it is on the weekends only. This is very important, because they DO have the rights to air both series. Let your voice be heard, use those cell phones!

Finally, TV Land has made another schedule change, and this is even better news!  The show is set to return March 5, weeknights 5 & 5:30pm, like we previously reported, but now they will make a change two days later on March 7 and move the show every night at 11 & 11:30pm--which is even better!  They will encore the show in the late nights hours as well on Mon-Fri only though, from approx. 3:30-4:30am. Upcoming episodes are on the On TV: TV Land section, like usual.

As we near the 30th anniversary, I am trying to bring you a 30th anniversary logo and some other things.  So keep checking back!

February 17, 2007 - We're now 100% with SitcomsOnline.com! Our URL is now www.sitcomsonline.com/jacksbistro!  Update those bookmarks.  We're now 100% ad and pop-up free!  I'm sure you all will like that.  We're working to make this site even better for you.  Look for new items to come in the coming month.  So keep checking back.  This is all just in time for the show's 30th Anniversary on March 15! Look for a new 30th anniversary logo very soon!

TV Land is even bringing the show back starting March 5, weeknights at 5 & 5:30 p.m. ET/PT!  More details on the On TV: TV Land page. The March 17-18 marathon will still stand.

February 10, 2007 - I'm not sure if you all saw or not, but my review of the single disc set of that Jack set was posted last month at our DVD Section. The Janet set has been delayed obviously.  No idea when Anchor Bay will release it yet. As for the spin-offs, no word yet, sorry. Please continue to e-mail Anchor Bay and DLT at: TVonDVD@anchorbayent.com and also at 3sco@dltentertainment.com. We must do this, if we want them. And Three's Company will be back on TV Land on March 17-18 for a special marathon...just in time for the show's 30th anniversary, which will be March 15.  The episodes will air Saturday, March 17 from 11pm-2am and encore the next night from 8-11pm.

Finally, you think you know a lot of Three's Company trivia?  Well, if you do get your questions ready and try to stump a huge fan at WGN Radio. His name is Andy Hermann and he is a huge fan.  If you remember, this same show on WGN Radio brought us interviews with Chris Mann, Richard Kline and Priscilla Barnes.  Not to mention the numerous segments on the Jack Tripper line, "Uno, dos, tres, catorce," which the U2 singer Bono has used in one of their songs. Has Bono paid tribute to Jack Tripper?  Who knows. Anyway e-mail your questions to Nick at wgnnickd@aol.com, with the question and answer.  He will not show the answers to Andy.  Your questions will be heard live on the radio.  This is a weekly segment every Sunday night at like 1:45am CT.  If you can't stay up that late, you can listen to the archives of each segment here. I myself have submitted questions the last two weeks.  Listen to those segments: Week 1 and Week 2. I will submit more questions this week!  So come up with some tough questions...but remember it has to deal with the show's plot, for example one of my questions were What was the name of the plant that Larry told the trio was marijuana?  The answer...False Aralia.

November 17, 2006 - Two more DVD sets are coming out on Jan. 30.  No, not the spin-offs yet, but two best-of sets for Three's Company. Three's Company: Capturing the Laughter - Jack's Episodes and Three's Company: Capturing the Laughter - Janet's Episodes.  The Jack set will feature 5-classic episodes dealing with Jack Tripper: Downhill Chaser, Urban Plowboy, Baby It's Cold Inside, Up in the Air, and Cupid Works Overtime.  Anchor Bay says these episodes were among John Ritter's favorites.  And the Janet set will be a Best Buy exclusive.  Meaning, you won't be able to get that set anywhere else.  Details on that set are not out yet, but the episodes are hand-picked by Joyce DeWitt herself!  We will have more details soon.  For full details visit our DVD Section. Now, here is a look at the Jack set's DVD cover:

July 29, 2006 - I hope you all got your season 7 DVD by now. If not, see our DVD Section for details. I have some big news today.  Priscilla Barnes will be on WGN Radio tomorrow night (July 30) at 11:05pm CT (12:05am ET).   Yes, our very own Terri Alden will be with Nick Digilio of WGN Radio!  You can call-in or email him a question.  Please tune in, as I will also be asking a few questions.  If you call or email, be sure to mention Jack's Bistro ;)  You can tune in online at www.wgnradio.com and click on the Listen Now link.  It should be a fun interview and we all had fun when Chris Mann in 2003 and Richard Kline in 2005 were both on this very same program.  So get some coffee if you're not used to staying up late, because this will be well worth it fellow Three's Company/Priscilla Barnes fans!  Hope to see you all there!

Also, I hadn't had a chance to post this on the news section, but I have been spreading it on the internet, there will be a 48-hour Three's Company marathon on TV Land Sept. 16-17...but this time they will include The Ropers and Three's a Crowd!  The Ropers will air Saturday night from 3-6am that weekend and Three's a Crowd 3-6am on Sunday night that weekend.  For episode info, stay tuned to the On TV: TV Land section!  TVLand.com will also have classic clips of Three's Company starting in September.  We will have details soon.

Finally, you can start ordering the Three's Company Season 8 DVD TODAY!

See our DVD Section for the complete review.  Now we just have one more season left...season 8.  It is slated for October 10.  Then let's hope and pray we see The Ropers and Three's a Crowd on DVD, too. Keep contacting DLT and Anchor Bay on it. Three's Company will now air 7 days a week at 11:30pm on TV Land starting July 12, in addition to 11 PM!  Also, the Friday marathons will be moved to 11pm-4am on Mondays and encores Tuesdays 11am-2pm.  More details in the On TV: TV Land section.

March 2, 2006 - We had some technical issues, but the site is now back up.  Sorry about that.  Don Knotts tributes are being taken place, click here to keep up to date.  Also, our season 6 DVD review is now up! See our DVD Section for details.  And don't forget to buy your copy of the DVD this coming Tuesday!  Do it for Don!

February 25, 2006 - We have very terrible and sad news to report today.  TV Land's Paul Ward announced today that Don Knotts passed away last night at the age of 81.  Mr. Knotts of course played our own Mr. Furley on Three's Company.  TV Land will have a tribute marathon to the TV legend shortly.  We will let you know for sure when that takes place.  To best remember Don, I urge all fans to watch the seasons 4 and 5 DVDs tonight and tomorrow to honor him.  Also, please buy the season 6 DVD for some more Don Knotts fun.  Please read my article on Don's passing here: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/2006/02/breaking-news-don-knotts-passes-away.html

Also, my season 6 DVD review is on its way -- so come on back for that, too.  This has been a very sad day.  Pay tribute to Don by watching him at his best as Mr. Furley.

Complete season 6 DVD ordering details is at the DVD Section.

February 4, 2006 - OK, we are just a month away from the season 6 DVD.  I got a very advanced copy of the set and it looks good.  I'll have a review up in a few weeks, closer to the street date.  Hopefully in 2 weeks.  So keep checking back.  I also want to clarify that the extra "Laughs Around the World - Episode in Polish" is a featurette about how the show was successful internationally.  It runs about 8 minutes and is introduced by George Sunga (Producer).  The show was very popular and while some countries dubbed their own language into Three's Company, some others made their own versions using the same scripts.  In 1999 Poland made their own version of Three's Company.  This featurette has some highlights from the season six episode "Paradise Lost" in the Polish show with intercut from the original US version.  It is quite interesting and is NOT, I repeat NOT just an episode dubbed in Polish. Complete S6 details is at the DVD Section.

Also, season 7 DVD is not coming June 6, but it is still coming of course.  The new date is now set for July 25, 2006.  No other details yet on season 7, but we will of course keep you guys updated.  Season 8 is still slated for the fall, most likely in October or November.  Hopefully the spin-offs are also released.  Keep emailing Anchor Bay and tell them how much you love the Three's Company DVDs and would also buy the spin-offs. Continue to E-mail them here TVonDVD@anchorbayent.com , questions@anchorbayent.com and also at suggestions@anchorbayent.com . customerservice@anchorbayentertainment.com might also work.  Try them all!

January 23, 2006 - Sorry for the lack of updates, but I'm still on the game with the DVDs.  We have your first look at the Season 6 DVD cover art today!  The cover art is below and we can expect that set on March 7.  PRE-ORDER Season 6 right HERE. Complete S6 details is at the DVD Section. Extras are audio commentary by Dave Powers on "Jack Bares All" and the complete one-hour format of Lucille Ball Presents: The Best of Three's Company. Season 7 is coming in June, more details on that soon.  Here is the S6 cover art, as promised:

November 3, 2005 - My season 5 DVD has just arrived!  I have reviewed it and love it!  All fans will be pleased.  Please read my review at the DVD Section.  You will not want to miss reading this!  If you have not bought your copy yet, you can order from the DVD Section as well. Season 6 is slated for March 7, so get ready for that!  We have no further information yet on the spin-offs on DVD.  We have no idea yet if they are in the works or not, but I'll keep you updated!  And we also have TWO copies of the Season 5 DVD to giveaway!  In conjunction with SitcomsOnline.com, Jack's Bistro is pleased to offer 2 sets of Three's Company - Season Five for giveaway thanks to the fine folks at Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Before entering the contest, please read the rules.
You can enter the contest and read the rules here:

Thanks for your cooperation and good luck to all! Don't forget to buy your copy of the season 5 DVD today!
October 23, 2005 - When I last talked to you, we knew Three's Company would be going on hiatus on TV Land.  But fear not!  Sister network Nick @ Nite will air the show again starting November 1, Mon-Thurs at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET/PT.  More info: Three's Company is off of TV Land for now after the November 4 airing, so we will see Three's Company at 11 p.m. on both networks on Nov. 1, 2 & 3. Three's Company is going on hiatus from TV Land because of contract airplays per episode issue. Nick@Nite and TV Land use the same contract, so you may ask why is Nick@Nite airing it then? Well, the show will air 4 days a week instead of the 7 TV Land aired, so that will help a lot for the contract issue. And you won't see all the episodes in order, expect some skipping of episodes--so do NOT complain. So, why is it on Nick@Nite? I believe ratings is an issue and maybe Nick@Nite needed a little bump and this show has rescued them in the past such as when Coach and Wings instantly bombed in primetime. We can expect this schedule to last in November and December. No word yet on how long it will last, but expect it through December! It looks like a temporary schedule to me.

In other news, I hope to have a review up for the season 5 DVD very soon.  I thought I would have it by now, but I do not.  Keep checking back!

October 9, 2005 - I have not gotten a chance to post this here yet, but Three's Company will be on a little hiatus from TV Land starting November 5.  TV Land has a great reason, so please do not be upset and enjoy this month of Three's Company.  The reason is that they are almost running out of airplays per episode for the contract.  Each episode is only allowed a certain number of times for air per the contract.  So, TV Land is resting the show, or as I like to say "refueling" for the stretch run.  Both Nick @ Nite and TV Land have aired the show non-stop since 2000, as you can tell by my archives in the On TV section. The show will be back as a regular sometime in 2006, but it will still be airing on special occasions, like the Best Of episode will air on Thanksgiving night at 8:00pm, Christmas episode on Dec. 11 and Dec. 25 and the first episode on January 1.  Details of those airings will be posted on the On TV: TV Land section.

And we are now about a month away from the season 5 DVD.  If you have not already, please order!  Go to our DVD Section for more information.  Look for our review very soon.  Maybe by next week or so, so keep checking back!

August 23, 2005 - It hasn't even been four days since we last gave you some news.  Today I planned on releasing you the special features list for the season 5 DVD.  And I plan to keep that promise.  Ready?  Here is the list as of now, and it is subject to change and more additional special features could be added still:

Go to our DVD Section for more info and a full image and don't forget to pre-order season 5 TODAY.

June 30, 2005 - Not much to update you on, but the season 5 DVD set is now scheduled on November 15, rather than October 4.  Read our DVD Section for more info. No idea why on the date change yet, but I'll keep you updated on the latest news.  Season 6 and 7 are still slated for March and June 2006, with season 8 next fall (2006).  The special features for season 5 are NOT in yet.  So please keep checking back and as soon as I can post it, it will be here first.

May 20, 2005 - I hope everyone tuned in to WGN Radio last weekend for Richard Kline.  If not, WGN Radio's website has it up, click here to listen to it, (look for 5/15/05). Keep checking back here for the link.  Now to some DVD news, first I'll start with one of John Ritter's other series.  Hearts Afire is coming to DVD on August 2 from Image Entertainment! Pre-order it here, and you can read more about it and look at the cover art on my Hearts Afire page: http://heartsafire.tvheaven.com.  Some news now on The Ropers and Three's a Crowd.  Anchor Bay is VERY close in obtaining both sets for release on DVD. Continue to E-mail them here customerservice@anchorbayentertainment.com  and also at suggestions@anchorbayent.com. Please tell them we want BOTH spin-offs.  I think we can make this happen.  Thanks to all who emailed, and if you have not, please do so now.  And if you have, please send another email out!  Anchor Bay will release Season 5 of Three's Company on DVD on October 4, like I mentioned before.  They have told me we can expect all eight seasons by fall 2006, with season 6 in March 2006 and season 7 in June 2006.  Season 8 should be out by the fall, but has not been scheduled yet.  Stay tuned for more updates, as soon as I can post it.

And finally some sad news, ABC has canceled 8 Simple Rules.  The show lasted three seasons, hopefully we will get the show on DVD soon to relive John's last TV work. More info is on my 8 Simple Rules site: http://8simplerules.tvheaven.com

May 13, 2005 - This is just a reminder to tune in tomorrow night at 2am et/1am ct to WGN Radio 720AM for Richard Kline--our very own Larry Dallas!  You can call-in or email him a question.  Please tune in, as I will also be asking a few questions.  If you call or email, be sure to mention Jack's Bistro ;)  You can tune in online at www.wgnradio.com and click on the Listen Now link.  It should be a fun interview and we all had fun when Chris Mann was on this very same program two years ago.  So get some coffee if you're not used to staying up late, because this will be well worth it fellow Three's company/Richard Kline fans!  Hope to see you all there!

April 29, 2005 - Sorry for the delay.  The Three's Company Season 4 DVD Review is now up!  Go to our DVD Section to read it and look at the case art.  Make sure everyone buys the fourth season on DVD, if you have not already! Also, Richard Kline will be on WGN Radio on Saturday, May 14 (early Sun. May 15) at 2:00AM et/1:00AM ct. He will be on the same program as Chris Mann was in May 2003, titled Nick at Night.  Here is how WGN Radio describes it: Nick talks with actor Richard Kline, established in America's subconscious as Larry Dallas -- the king of wacky neighbors -- from the classic sitcom Three's Company. We’ll cover his career, what he has coming up, and how it feels to be an icon of the swinging ‘70s. Three’s Company: Season Four came out on DVD on May 3, and we’ll have some copies to give away... (www.richardkline.net)  So, please make sure you are up that night so you can listen to Richard.  You can listen online at www.wgnradio.com and you can also call-in to ask a question.  I will have a few advanced questions for Richard, so please make sure to tune in!

April 15, 2005 - We are just a little over 3 weeks away from the season 4 DVD!  I should have a review up soon.  So, please keep checking back, as I've still yet to get my copy.  But it will be soon!  I did however get a copy of an E! Entertainment special that will be airing on SUNDAY, APRIL 24.  E! will be airing an all-new episode under the E! True Hollywood Story umbrella for John Ritter.  Titled - John Ritter: The E! True Hollywood Story.  It features new interviews with his close friends, family and colleagues.  Tune in on Sunday, April 24 at 8pm to 9pm et/pt and it encores later that night at 11pm-12am et/pt on E!  I already have a copy of the special and have watched it.  It is very well done.  Among the topics I saw were, a preview of the ending (they started off with the day he passed away), the early years (showed him as a child with his mom, dad and older brother), John in Hollywood High, John at USC, John's first TV gig (The Dating Game), John's numerous TV guest appearances (MASH, Kojak, Mannix, etc), his recurring appearances on The Waltons, cast in the theatrical Nickelodeon, stardom on Three's Company, his marriage to Nancy Morgan, the Three's Company contract dispute, John's three children born in the early 80s, John winning the Emmy, John on Three's a Crowd, John after Jack Tripper (loads of movies, TV movies), returning to television in Hooperman, heading behind the camera (exec. prod. of Anything But Love), starring in Problem Child, meeting Amy Yasbeck, coming back to the 4 camera sitcom world in Hearts Afire, separating with Nancy Morgan, John with his Hearts Afire co-star in Sling Blade, officially divorced with Nancy Morgan in 1996 (both have co-custody of the children), John and Amy have a baby, John and Amy get engaged and then married a year later, John on Broadway with his old pal Henry Winkler, and returning to L.A. to start work on another sitcom -- 8 Simple Rules.  The ending tells us the story of what happened the day John passed away.  It is a very good special and features interviews with: John (1998 and other years), Joyce DeWitt (new and 1998), Suzanne Somers, Richard Kline, Amy Yasbeck, Henry Winkler, Richard Lewis, Tom Ritter, Katey Sagal, Peter Bogdanovich, Jack Larson, Paul Linke, TV Guide's Daniel Coleridge, Professor John Blankenchip, Joe Landon, Bob Myman, Kaley Cuoco, Amy Davidson, Martin Spanjers and Billy Bob Thornton (archival, 1996).

Well worth the watch!  It is just as good as the A&E Biography we saw of John.  I wished E! would have interviewed Don Knotts and Jason Ritter, other than that, I loved it!

March 15, 2005 - Tonight will mark the 28th anniversary of Three's Company!  Happy Anniversary, Three's Company!  Watch TV Land tomorrow from 9-11pm ET/PT for the 3rd Annual TV Land Awards.  There will be a hilarious skit called "Desperate Classic Housewives" which will feature classic TV stars in the roles of the current hit Desperate Housewives.  Our very own Joyce DeWitt will be playing the lead; she will be Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher's character!!).  Don Knotts will be playing the creepy Paul Young.  Other stars include Marion Ross and Tom Bosley from Happy Days playing the Van De Kamps, Shirley Jones of The Partridge Family playing Lynette Scavo, Charo as Gabrielle Solis, Jerry Mathers of Leave it to Beaver as the sexy gardener John, Abe Vigoda of Barney Miller as Mike Delfino and Barbara Eden of I Dream of Jeannie as Edie Britt.  Should be quite funny!!

February 11, 2005 - Joyce DeWitt and Priscilla Barnes were at the BigAppleCon the weekend of January 22-23 in New York City.  A reader of my website, Peter S. attended and gave some info on what went on there.  He also provided a photograph.  Here is Peter in his own words:

I attended a convention January 22 held at the Pennsylvania Hotel in NYC, directly across from Madison Square Garden.  BigAppleCon featured mostly comics and people in said field, but there was all sorts of media memorabilia, which I suppose explains the interview session featuring live in-person, Joyce DeWitt, Priscilla Barnes and Erin Moran from Happy Days.  Ms. Moran was originally scheduled to be a part of a separate interview with cast mate Donny Most, but he couldn't make it due to the blizzard, so the ladies banded together for the presentation.

Joyce contends that the best years creatively for Three's Company were the last three seasons with Priscilla. She didn't mean it as a knock against Suzanne Somers, who was funny in her own right. But as the turmoil from the Somers controversy was ending, and times were changing with the '80s, and the show was maturing after five seasons, the more subtle and independent Terri Alden that Priscilla brought to life created a great chemistry between the roommates. (Personally, I whole-heartedly agree.)
Priscilla's favorite episode is "The Cooking Show", where she and Janet 'help' Jack with his television presentation. The usually outspoken Terri becomes a deer caught in the headlights with the cameras on while Jack and Janet are creating havoc all around her.
Out of the three guests, Erin was actually the first to meet and work with John Ritter. This occurred on The Waltons, when she must have been about 11 or so. As for a Happy Days tidbit, Erin was the only cast member to have worked in a three-camera / live audience format from her appearances on Don Rickles shows, so when Happy Days did the same after two seasons of one-camera filming, she was the veteran performer of the format!
Joyce and Priscilla agreed that their 3C characters are retired and will probably never appear anywhere again. Aside from the fact that they've done so many different things in the past 20 years away from Janet and Terri, they feel that it obviously just wouldn't be the same without John.
And everyone agreed that they loved New York -- even over L.A., perhaps with the exception of the weather. Joyce mentioned how she didn't particularly like being dogged by fans when recognized as 'Janet' on the street, except in NYC where people would simply give her a friendly greeting in passing. Erin appreciated the simplicity of Manhattan's criss-cross street pattern, compared to L.A.'s long and winding roads. Priscilla just liked everything: shopping, museums, shopping, theatre -- did I mention shopping? I know, I know, what else are they going to say while in NYC? But they seemed to emit the utmost sincerity in their praise. Personally, I feel the only people who don't like New York are those who have never come here and opened themselves up to the experience: the arts, the stores and most importantly, the people.

Come back next week or so and we will have FULL details on the special features on the season 4 DVD, which is coming out May 3!

January 4, 2005 - Happy New Year everyone!  We are entering our 7th season online here at Jack's Bistro.  I am very proud of that.  I have a TON of news to share with everyone today -- ranging from DVD news to a new CD to a new TV special.  I'll start with the CD.  Steve Wishnoff, who was "Postmaster Steve" is working on lots of projects that we will report on as news becomes available, is releasing a new CD called "Don't Touch That Dial" -- a comedy album of TV and Commerical Parodies.  One of the TV parodies is our very own Three's Company!  It is a "loving rip", in all good fun, of Suzanne Somers on how she herself became a "company" after the show ended.  Her butt masters, thigh masters, jeweltry, etc. are featured in this song sang by Steve Wishnoff and Annie Hughes.  We have a preview of the theme here, please listen to it!  It will be on sale sometime early this year -- stay tuned for info on where and how to buy it.

Next up is all this buzz on U2's new song Vertigo.  Bono says "uno, dos, tres, catorce" in the beginning of the song -- which Jack Tripper was famous in saying!  Jack has said it on Three's Company in the episode "Doctor in the House" which you can catch again on next Monday night/early Tuesday on TV Land at 2:00 a.m. ET/PT.  John also said it about 2 years earlier on his comedy special in 1980.  So did Bono pay homage to Jack Tripper or does it mean something else?  WGN Radio, who had Chris Mann on back in May 2003, had a nice long segment on this.  Listen to it here (from 12/12/04).

The news continues as TV Land gets set for its 3rd annual awards show this March.  Three's Company is nominated for two categories: "Favorite Nosey Neighbor" for Mr. Furley and "The Most Happenin' Greasy Spoon or Hangout" for The Regal Beagle.  Vote for them today at TVLand.com!

Now for our ongoing news on the DVD series!  As we all know, season 4 is slated for May 3.  I can't release the special features just yet.  So keep checking back on that and the cover art.  I do have some news on the DVDs.  I spoke to a good source and found out that seasons 5-8 has a very good chance of making it on DVD -- just don't forget to thank Anchor Bay for bringing us seasons 1-4 and tell them to make sure we get every season on DVD!  Also, they have not licensed the spin-offs yet.  All fans must do this -- email Anchor Bay and tell them we want the spin-offs in addition to every season of Three's Company on DVD!  So, email Anchor Bay by clicking here  and also email DLT Entertainment, so they can license it to them.  This is a must guys.  We want everything Three's Company on DVD to complete our 222 half hour set!

Finally, A&E is working on a Biography on the show!  More details will come soon!  I have also heard the cable deal for Three's Company, has been extended for another 8 years -- I'm not sure if that means 8 years after the original expiration date (which was in 2007) or 8 years starting today.  Let's just say we will have Three's Company on TV Land for many years to come.  Just make sure everyone emails Anchor Bay about the spin-offs -- it is a must!

December 6, 2004 - I know everyone is now waiting for the season 4 set to be released.  Fear not, I have a date for the set now!  It will be released May 3, 2005, pending any last minute changes.  The set will feature all 25 episodes from season four packed with tons of special features including all-new interviews and best of clips of characters.  Stay tuned in the coming months for cover arts and full info on the special features!

November 21, 2004 - My review of JOHN RITTER: BEING OF SOUND MIND AND BODY is now up to view on my DVD Section Please take a look and buy a copy!

October 31, 2004 -- OK, sorry about the delay, but my season three DVD review is now up and available to view!  I got the DVD yesterday because they couldn't get the press release approved until October 28.  Nevertheless, I have the set and love it!  Please read the review and buy the set in our DVD Section.

October 14, 2004 - My season three DVD is coming very soon. I should be getting an advanced copy sometime soon, hopefully by early next week.  So keep checking back!!

Also, I have some wonderful news!  John Ritter's 1980 ABC one hour special, JOHN RITTER BEING OF SOUND MIND AND BODY is coming to DVD on November 23 from Kultur Home Video!  Kultur will be selling it very cheap, so everyone please buy it.  Click here to buy it for under $11!  I have seen this special before and it is very funny and John has a lot of special guests on his skits like fellow Three's Company co-stars Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt, WKRP's Howard Hesseman, Charlie's Angels' David Doyle, Batman's Vincent Price and SOAP's Cathryn Damon!  A must see special and John is vintage John in this special.  So BUY it today!!

September 16, 2004 - Tomorrow would have marked John Ritter's 56th birthday.  Let's all think of him as much as we can for another day.  And we hope and pray John comes a winner at the Emmy's this Sunday for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (8 Simple Rules).  This past Saturday was also the one year anniversary of John's passing.  To honor John, a big fan named Michael sends us this poem (click on the image to view full size):

And before I leave you today, I'd like to show you two shots of the box cover for the upcoming season 3 DVD:

And be sure to buy your copy today from our DVD Section.

September 5, 2004 - Some sad news to report, actor William Pierson, best known for his television role as Dean Travers on Three's Company has passed away at age 78 on Aug. 27.  Pierson had a recurring role as Dean Travers from 1977-1981.  For the complete article, click here.  Next week, we will be mourning the one year anniversary of our beloved John Ritter's passing.

August 27, 2004 - We have some news on the Season 3 DVD! Complete details on the special features and some "hints" for the future are now available. First, let me start by saying the date has been moved up by one week -- from NOVEMBER 9 TO NOVEMBER 2!  Just like TVShowsOnDVD.com has said. Election Day 2004 just got better!  It'll be a 4 disc set with a MSRP of $39.98, both just like season two.  Of course, you can get it cheaper online, from places like Amazon.com.  Pre-order today!  And like the first two seasons, the great Chris Mann is heavily involved on this set (he will be also involved for season 4).  Please visit our DVD Section for further details.

Take a deep breath, here are the special features for the season 3 DVD set (all on disc 4):

* Never-Before-Seen Pilot Episode #2 - Made Before Suzanne Somers was cast.
* Remembering John Ritter - An all new tribute featuring interviews with family, friends and cast members.  Nancy Morgan Ritter, Richard Kline, and much more!
* Audio Commentary for "THE BAKE-OFF" with Chris Mann, author of Come And Knock On Our Door
* Original Promo Pieces with John Ritter
* Richard Kline (Larry) Interview - Introduced and hosted by Joyce DeWitt
* Dave Powers (Director Seasons 3-8) Interview - Introduced and hosted by Joyce DeWitt
* Best of Jack: Season 3
* Best of Chrissy: Season 3
* Best of Janet: Season 3
* Best of The Ropers: Season 3
* Bloopers Part 2
* Talent Bios

Two more features were going to be on it, but had to be removed for legal reasons. They were going to be CD/DVD-ROM only, featuring full teleplay scripts of "THE CRUSH" and "MOVING ON." It would have been nice to have seen that, but it wasn't meant to be.

Cover art and additional details will be coming soon (maybe by next week). So keep checking back! Now, for the future -- on this season three DVD set the two Ropers episodes that air as Three's Company episodes in syndication will NOT be on this set. Why? I've been told that "quite possibly" the two spin-offs (The Ropers and Three's a Crowd) could have their OWN 'complete series' sets.
Only "time will tell" I've been told. That is very good to hear!! Hopefully we get them very soon.  E-mail Anchor Bay and tell them "we do want the spin-offs."

As for Three's Company ... Three's Company Season 4 is slated in early 2005, most likely in May. As always, keep checking back here for the latest news and updates on the status of the DVDs (and our DVD Section).

August 7, 2004 - Nick @ Nite and TV Land will be making some schedule changes starting next week.  Nick @ Nite's summer marathons will be over by next Friday, so Three's Company will air every night at 1am and 4am ET/PT until September 13.  By then the show will be off of Nick @ Nite.  Not to worry, though!  TV Land will still air the show.  But they are also changing some things.  Starting next Saturday, TV Land will still air the show every night at 11 & 11:30pm, but the every night at 7 and 7:30pm airings will be removed, but every night at 2 and 2:30am airings will be added.  Also, TV Land will have mini-marathons of Three's Company every Monday!  Every Monday at 11am, 11:30am, 12pm, and 12:30pm.  Then later in the day at 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm, and 7:30pm.  Mondays just got a bit brighter!  This schedule is expected to last until the end of September, so we have a while to play with this.

Also, a Three's Company gathering of fans idea is in the making. Three's Company fan websites are joining their forces to promote the lovable 70's-80's sitcom Three's Company while providing guests with an enjoyable, family-oriented experience. A committee is in forming to plan this event. If you'd like to have a say, write to Greg Sanders. Feel free to ask questions.

July 15, 2004 - I have some surprising news for everyone.  I don't think anyone was expecting this, but John Ritter has been nominated for an Emmy!  Yes, that's right -- for the 56th Annual Emmy Awards airing Sunday, September 19 on ABC.  John has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his starring role as Paul Hennessy on ABC's 8 Simple Rules.  He will be up against Larry David, Kelsey Grammer, Matt LeBlanc, and Tony Shalhoub.  Good luck to John and we all hope he wins!!  I would imagine his widow Amy Yasbeck or oldest son Jason Ritter would be accepting if he does win.  John is the favorite to win, with a 2 to 1 odd to win it.

In other news, the Three's Company Season 3 DVD is coming along quite well and we have a release date on it!  The set will be out Tuesday, November 9!  Mark those calendars NOW!  Like season two, there will be lots of special features and tributes to John.  I can not release the extras just yet, but keep checking back and you will find out -- you will not be disappointed in this set at all.  All I can tell you is, that the second unaired pilot will be on it, as we all know.

June 18, 2004 - Some more wonderful news has come in!  Three's Company will also air on Nick @ Nite starting July 5! So Three's Company returns to Nick @ Nite after about five months.  Nick @ Nite will air it as part of their annual summer marathons, on Mondays from 10pm-2am ET/PT and Wednesday nights 2am-6am ET/PT.  It will also air weekends at 3 & 3:30am ET/PT.  And if that isn't enough, TV Land of course will air it every night at 7 & 7:30PM ET/PT and 11 & 11:30PM ET/PT (see the June 4 news article for details).  Keep checking the On TV section for BOTH Nick @ Nite and TV Land for upcoming episodes.

One final note, fans in New York City will be lucky to have a 4th of July Three's Company marathon on WPIX-WB11 from 10AM-5PM.  Episodes airing are: Strange Bedfellows, Chrissy's Date, Cyrano de Tripper, Home Movies, Coffee Tea or Jack?, The Fast, The Bake-Off, Jack on the Lam, Jack the Ripper, Mighty Mouth, Handcuffed, Upstairs Downstairs Downstairs, and A Hundred Dollars A What?  WPHL in Philadelphia will air a similar marathon the day before, from 12-6PM.

June 4, 2004 - I have some good news for Three's Company on TV Land.  Right now we are enjoying Three's Company five days a week at 11 and 11:30PM ET/PT, but starting MONDAY, JULY 5, Three's Company will be expanded to seven days a week and four airings per day -- at  7:00PM, 7:30PM, 11:00PM, & 11:30PM ET/PT.  This is wonderful news and keep watching Three's Company on TV Land and on your DVD player.

May 19, 2004 - I hope everyone enjoyed the 48 hour marathon this past weekend.  It did so well that TV Land will air a three night marathon starting late tonight!  For the next three nights from 11:59pm to 6am ET, TV Land will air twelve episodes per night, in a 36 episode stunt.  Go to the On TV: TV Land section for episode details.  And remember, Three's Company also airs weeknights at 11 and 11:30PM, expect when special programming is scheduled, check the On TV section for the regular 11 and 11:30PM airings as well.

May 4, 2004 -- The season two DVD is officially out today!  If you haven't buyed it yet, please do so in our DVD section.  Some VERY good news now!  TV Land, sister station of Nick @ Nite, will now air Three's Company!  Starting next week, Monday, May 10, week nights at 11 and 11:30 PM ET/PT.  And if that isn't all, they will air a 48-hour Three's Company marathon from 6:00 AM ET/PT Saturday, May 15 through 6:00AM ET/PT Monday, May 16.  A nice 96 episode marathon.  Details on that will come on my On TV section.  Stay tuned...

April 25,2004 -- Some VERY bad news. Nick@Nite has decided NOT to bring back Three's Company starting May 3. Cheers will remain ... Another last minute change.  Please email postmaster@tvland.com and tell them why they decided to remove Three's Co starting 5/3 and demand them to put it back on!

April 23, 2004 - Just a quick note, fans in Philadelphia, PA will be very lucky tomorrow!  WPHL-WB17 will be airing a six hour marathon of Three's Company tomorrow afternoon from 12 to 6 p.m.  WB17's six-hour "Three's Company" marathon includes twelve of the episodes fans widely consider the series' best and is laced with trivia about the show and its stars. Episode information and a brief synopsis are included below.

Three's Company airs on quite a few local channels.  To see if any in your area air it, please click here.  If not, then don't forget Three's Company will be back from its two month hiatus on Nick @ Nite starting May 3!

April 16, 2004 - Lots of stuff to talk about!  First I'd like to happily announce (which I first did on the message board last week) that Three's Company returns to Nick @ Nite on Monday, May 3, airing every night at 1:00am & 1:30am, and encores at 4:00am & 4:30am ET/PT.  The following day, Three's Company Season Two will be released on DVD!!  I already have my set since Monday and love every bit of it.  I have put a review up, please check it out by going HERE!!!  Every fan must read this!!  Happy reading!

March 12, 2004 - The cover art for the season two DVD has been released!

March 2, 2004 - We have some good news!  Two more extras will be on the Season Two DVD (which is out in 2 months--May 4!).  Season 2 Blooper Reel and commentary from Chris Mann ("Come and Knock on our Door" book) on the season two episode, "Days of Beer and Weed."  We have some more good news too!  You can pre-order the DVD starting NOW!  Click HERE to pre-order the DVD for only $29.98 -- you save 10 dollars, but the price will gradually go up, so order TODAY. Or pre-order from Amazon for even less, by clicking HERE.

Cover art is coming soon... so check back!

February 27, 2004 - I hope everyone has been following the On TV Nick @ Nite section and/or the message board, because Nick @ Nite has now removed Three's Company.  Here is a recap on what happened: On Tuesday night (Feb. 24) the 1:30am/4:30am airings of Three's Company was replaced by All in the Family.  Two nights later, starting Feb. 26, Cheers replaces the 1 and 4:00am airings and also replaced All in the Family after just two days at 1:30am/4:30am.  So, this means this is the first time Nick @ Nite has not had Three's Company on their schedule since Three's Company came to Nick @ Nite in October 2000.  This could mean however that Three's Company could be moving to sister station TV Land soon, possibly by April.  Viacom has a 7 year deal that runs until 2007, so we know Three's Company will be back, but the question is, on what Viacom channel?  Keep it right here and I'll give you the latest.

In other news, Joyce DeWitt will be on Hollywood Squares, the week of March 8-12, check local listings for time and channel in your area.  She is part of the special "TV Land Awards Week."  The TV Land Awards will air on TV Land and Nick @ Nite on Wednesday, March 17, at 9pm-11pm hosted by Brad Garrett.  Please watch, there might be a tribute to last year's host--our John Ritter.

February 3, 2004 - Just a quick note to let everyone know, the season 2 DVD will be out Tuesday, May 4, 2004.  So now we have an exact date!  Mark those calendars!  Cover art and official press release will be released soon.  For more info on the DVD sets read the news below or click on the DVD section.

January 13, 2004 - As promised, though a few days later than I expected, I have the full information on what the extras will feature. But first ... as you all probably know, I'm going to be credited in the season two disc with some information help, but Chris Mann (author of "Come and Knock on Our Door") was very involved!  He is making sure it will be very well done, for us fans.  He is being credited for the following for this season two disc: writing, consulting, assisting in editing, research, and among other things!  He has also helped a ton on the John Ritter tribute, box copy, and the liner notes.  And Chris Mann has also confirmed that for sure season four will be out as well, my guess is sometime in 2005.  Season 3 of course, will be out by the end of the year. He is also making sure fans see new added value and photographic material and are happy with the Seasons 2-4 releases.

And now for the extras, being officially released here first, though all extras are subject to change, since the season two DVD is still a good two weeks or so away from being completed:

- Three's Company - "The Never-Before-Seen First Pilot," written by Larry Gelbart and before the casting of Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt.

All subject to change at the last minute, as you all know. Special thanks to Chris Mann, Crest National (who is editing & creating the DVD's), and Anchor Bay Entertainment.

For other local affiliates airing the show, check the On TV: Local Channels section for an updated list, as of 12/17.  Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! (We will be celebrating our 6th year online!)

November 22, 2003 - Hopefully, everyone has bought the season one DVD by now.  If not, please do so, by visiting my DVD section.  It is a bargain.  Season 2 will be coming out in Spring 2004, most likely around March, to coincide with the Three's Company anniversary (it'll be 27 years!).  And yours truly will be involved!  The wonderful Chris Mann will be involved as well, he was involved in season one as well.  Anyway, you'll see my website in the credits when it comes out.  I will keep everyone posted on the making of it.  So please keep checking back!  Also, this Friday, November 28, at 10 p.m. E/P, Nick @ Nite will be having a Holiday Special.  It was taped on Sat. Nov. 15 and Joyce DeWitt will be in it.  Stars from Nick @ Nite like Ted Danson, Martin Mull, Raven, Jackee, and of course Joyce DeWitt will be on hand. I have some photos of the special with Joyce.  Special thanks to  "a Clay Aiken fan" for these photos.  They were brought to my attention by Melissa Pollak, who I have known via the John Ritter Group for the last 5 years.  Here they are, Joyce with the very popular Clay Aiken:

September 19, 2003 - Because of the untimely death of John Ritter, the Season 1 Three's Company DVD will now be released NOVEMBER 11, 2003, instead of early 2004!  But there will be no extras in this season, season 2 will be out in early 2004 with extras.  Click HERE to pre-order SEASON 1 for only $12.99!!!!  A bargain and you won't get that price anywhere else, everywhere else it is 19.99.  Amazon is also selling the DVD now, pre-order today by clicking here!  Now to some sad news, the Emmy Awards tomorrow will have a tribute to John Ritter.  Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt were suppose to start the tribute off, but looks like it won't happen.  John's family will not be on hand as well, but will be watching from home.  ABC's Tuesday John Ritter tribute, was number one in the ratings on Tuesday.  He was so loved and admired by many, as the numbers prove.  Let's all buy the DVD for John and hope we can get all 8 seasons on DVD! View our DVD section!

September 12, 2003 - Well, the worst news ever has come. The star of Three's Company & 8 Simple Rules, John Ritter passed away last night on the set of 8 SIMPLE RULES while practicing for today's taping. He died at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank shortly after 10 p.m. PT Thursday, six days before his 55th birthday. The cause of death was a tear in the aorta, the result of an unrecognized flaw in his heart. The status of 8 Simple Rules is now unknown. Rest in peace, John--the best actor ever. Read the full AP article here.

Nick @ Nite, TV Land, and others will do tributes, click here for the schedules.  I'm still shocked on this whole thing.

July 29, 2003 - I have some BIG news today!  But first let me say a few things.  Trio aired both of Joyce DeWitt's Battle of the Network Stars episodes and one of the two with Suzanne Somers.  So hopefully everyone caught that.  One another note, Three's Company will be airing only at 3:00 a.m. E/P starting September 26, 2003 this fall on Nick @ Nite; so make sure to keep watching it at the "cushy" time it is on right now.  Now the big, news!  Three's Company: The Complete First Season is coming out on DVD!!! http://www.tvshowsondvd.com broke the news today.  Hopefully this sells well, so we can get seasons 2-8 on DVD as well. This is for sure the right step! Here is the info:
Anchor Bay Licenses 'Three's Company'
7/29/2003
From VSDA in Las Vegas...
Anchor Bay announced that they have licensed Three's Company from DLT Entertainment. The company plans to release the first season in early 2004, but an exact date isn't known at this time.

July 11, 2003 - If anyone gets the Trio TV Network on satellite or digital cable, make sure to catch "Battle of the Network Stars" the week of July 20-27, Trio is airing 5 of the 19 specials.  This show had the 3 big networks competing in "olympic" type competitions.  Joyce DeWitt, Suzanne Somers, Jenilee Harrison and Three's a Crowd's Mary Cadorette were on this, each were on multiple times, Joyce and Suzanne each even hosted once.  Since Trio is airing 5 of the specials only, it will most likely rule out Jenilee or  Mary's appearances, as they were on later in the series.  Trio is airing specials from 1976-1980.  Check the schedule section at www.triotv.com for exact air times. This is a must for any fan!

June 13, 2003 - Want Three's Company on DVD?  If we want our voices heard on Three's Company to DVD, please register for free at http://www.tvshowsondvd.com and vote for Three's Company. You also can of course email DLT Entertainment at http://www.dltentertainment.com/ASP/MainFrame.asp and ask them to bring Three's Company to DVD.  How could a classic like this not be available?  Only 18 episodes are even avilable on VHS, such a shame.

May 30, 2003 - Three's Company will be a big part of Nick @ Nite's annual summer marathon.  This year it is being called, Viewer Appreciation Summer.  Three's Company will air twice a week in the marathon, Monday nights at 2-6am E/P and Fridays at 10pm-2am E/P.  It will continue to air on weekends in its normal timeslots, 11pm, 11:30pm, 3am, and 3:30am.

May 11, 2003 - I hope everyone heard the Chris Mann interview last Saturday.  He told his story and even said some good things about me and this site.  You can listen to it still on WGN Radio's archives, they have it in TWO PARTS.  The first part is primarily his story, the second part is about me and my site and Three's Company in general.  Please everyone listen to what Chris had to say by clicking here.

Tomorrow night is the big night!  The Three's Company movie on NBC!  Joyce DeWitt who is the narrator of the movie will be on NBC's Today show tomorrow sometime between 7-10am promoting the movie.  She will also be on WGN Radio tomorrow at 2:50pm ET/1:50pm CT.  Please listen to that as well, maybe I'll get  another plug for my site? ;)  A week from Monday on ABC is the BIG ABC 50th Anniversary special, hopefully everyone will watch, more info on that is available below (April 18 news piece).

May 2, 2003 - Hope your enjoying Three's Company at a good slot again on Nick @ Nite.  Check the On TV section for upcoming episodes, as always.  The bloopers that aired on Monday were great!  Hope everyone taped it and saw it, I posted some screen caps in the Specials section.  The NBC movie is 10 days away, airing May 12 at 9-11, and Chris Mann, the author of the Three's Company book, has spoken about what happened to him.  I suggest EVERYONE who is a fan or visiting this site to read his letter and support him, view the letter by clicking HERE.

Chris will be on WGN Radio tomorrow night at 2am ET/1am CT, you can listen at www.wgnradio.com.

April 18, 2003 - Just a confirmation on the ABC Blooper specials, there will be indeed a Three's Company blooper or two on the first special on Monday, April 28, 2003, at 8-9pm on ABC.  Joyce DeWitt will be on hand to present the bloopers.  ABC bloopers will air for 3 Mondays in a row, so be on the lookout.  And John Ritter, Jenilee Harrison, and Priscilla Barnes will be at the big 50th Anniversary event airing on May 19, from 8 to 11pm E/P on ABC.  Take a look at a few photos:

April 11, 2003 - Good news!!  Three's Company will be airing again at 11 and 11:30PM e/p on Nick @ Nite!  Looks like that two week run in March paid off!  It will also air every night at 3 and 3:30AM as well.  So this is great, it feels like 2000 and 2001 again when Three's Company got excellent treatment from Nick @ Nite.  Check the On TV section for more details.  ABC is having their 50th Anniversary Celebration on Monday, May 19, from 8 to 11PM E/P, it is a must see, John Ritter, Priscilla Barnes, and Jenilee Harrison will be on hand!  ABC will also air classic bloopers from their shows from the past 50 years, hopefully there will be some Three's Company bloopers, these blooper specials will air Monday April 28, May 5 and 12 at 8-9pm E/P, leading up to the 50th Anniversary event.  More info will be coming soon!  The NBC telefilm airing May 12, is one month away--get the popcorn ready!

February 28, 2003 - Nick @ Nite will add yet more time slots for Three's Company!  Last weekend 2 extra airings were added for Friday and Saturday nights at 4:30am e/p, now they are adding 11 and 11:30pm airings starting March 17, for at least two weeks, it could be just a place holder for "Wings" which will have a marathon the week of March 31.  Please keep checking back on my On TV: Nick @ Nite section for complete updates.  Don't forget John Ritter will host the TV Land Awards on March 12!

February 21, 2003 -  "Behind the Camera: The Unofficial Story of ‘Three’s Company'" will air on Monday, May 12, 2003 from 9 to 11 p.m. E/P on NBC, mark those calendars!  Hopefully they do not change the date this time.

January 26th, 2003: Don't forget the 8 Simple Rules 'Three's Company' dream sequence this Tuesday on ABC at 8/7 Central.  Suzanne Somers got a star on the Walk of Fame on Friday, joining John Ritter and Don Knotts as the only Three's Company cast members to get a star.

January 17, 2003: The NBC telefilm is now being called "Behind the Camera: The Unofficial Story of ‘Three’s Company'." It is still set to air in April, more info coming soon.  I just added photos of the Three's Company dream sequence airing on an episode of John Ritter's 8 Simple Rules, look below for some photos.

January 13, 2002: The taping of the Three's Company dream sequence was on Thursday January 9th and it was a success!  Don Knotts was even on the set watching the taping, but he was not on camera :(  (However, he might be in the episode in another scene!) In the dream sequence Paul (John Ritter) plays Mr. Roper, Cate (Katey Sagal) plays Mrs. Roper, Bridget (Kaley Cuoco) plays Chrissy, Kerry (Amy Davidson) plays Janet, Rory (Martin Spanjers) plays Larry and Kyle (Billy Aaron Brown) plays Jack Tripper!  It will air Tuesday January 28th at 8 p.m. E/P on ABC, mark those calendars right now!  The episode is about: After discovering that boyfriend Kyle kissed Kerry at a party (the previous episode, "Kerry's Big Adventure," airing Jan 21), Bridget gives her sister the silent treatment – which is anything but quiet for Paul. But real life merges with fantasy when Paul has a dream that lands him in familiar territory, showing Kyle as a swinging bachelor living with Paul’s two beautiful daughters in an apartment straight out of the ‘70s. The set of the classic comedy “Three’s Company” was recreated down to the last detail for this episode.  Check my 8 Simple Rules page for complete details and photos to come soon.

January 8, 2003: Welcome to another year of Three's Company news! The title of that episode will be "Come and Knock on Our Door."  Hopefully Suzanne, and some other Three's Company cast members guest star in the future!  Look for an air date in late January or early February, I'll post it right here when I get it.  Stay tuned...

October 18th: A little more bad news, Nick @ Nite will not be airing the 3:30 a.m. starting November 4th, but it will still air every night at 3 a.m. on Nick @ Nite.  Also, TV Land is having a "Three's Company Cast on Other Shows" this Sunday from 3-5 p.m., Don Knotts on Andy Griffith, John Ritter's guest appearance on Mary Tyler Moore, Suzanne Somers in her short lived series She's the Sheriff, and Richard Kline guest starring on Mary Tyler Moore Show.  That's this Sunday, October 20th on TV Land.

October 4th: I have some good news and some bad news. First the bad news, TNN is removing Three's Company in November, starting Monday Nov 4th, so the last airing will be Friday Nov 1st, check the On TV section for more details, do not worry sister station Nick @ Nite will still air the show.  Now the good news!!  The Three's Company Video Game Demo Release is out!  The full version will be available very soon, stay tuned for more updates.  For now click here to download the Demo version.  Also, please keep watching John Ritter in 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter on ABC Tuesdays 8/7 Central.

"John Ritter: In Good Company" at 8pm that day. More info on that soon. Chris Mann, author of the Three's Company book, has informed me of the following--"Wanted to let you know there's an article about me (Chris Mann) and the NBC Three's Company telefilm ("Three's Company Revisited") in the television section of Entertainment Weekly's Sept. 20 issue out on the 13th." Be sure to check that out and everything else mentioned in today's news, they are all great and important.

August 23rd: Some news on the NBC telefilm Three's Company Revisited, the main cast is in!  The casting call was held on Aug 13 at Highways Performance Space, 1651 18th Street, Santa Monica, CA, 90404 (1/4 block north of Olympic) 10am-12pm/pt.  John Ritter/Jack Tripper will be played by Brett Anthony, Joyce DeWitt/Janet Wood will be played by Melanie Deaane Moore and Suzanne Somers/Chrissy Snow will be played Jud Tylor.  Stanley M. Brooks (“Living with the Dead,” “Submerged”) is the executive producer and Scott Anderson (“Living with the Dead”) is the supervising producer of the production from Once Upon a Time Films.  As mentioned, Joyce DeWitt will be the narrator of the telefilm.  ET reports that John Ritter and Suzanne Somers passed on the project.  Stay tuned for more info on this movie, tentatively coming out this November on NBC.  I'd like a reunion this November too, come on ABC make it happen, we almost had it on Fox last May, but they wanted Suzanne and she declined.
July 23: NBC has given out more info on their telefilm they are working on.  It will be a behind the scenes on the set type of movie, like Brady Bunch's Growing Up Brady was for them.  As I announced on the message board last week or so, the name of the telefilm is "Three's Company Revisited."  Stan Brooks is producing it.  On August 13th, there will be auditions for the parts of John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, and Suzanne Somers.  Joyce DeWitt will be part of this movie, she will be the narrator!  No word if John Ritter or Suzanne Somers will have a cameo or any other part in this film, I believe Suzanne has declined.  No news on the reunion yet, Chris Mann has said Fox backed out because they couldn't work anything out, Suzanne declined the reunion for Fox.  Now I hear ABC or even NBC could pursue it, if they do it and ask Suzanne, and she declines, they should do it with or without her.  Also, Nick at Nite's Summer Camp ends September 2nd, so Three's Company will be back on every night again at 3 and 3:30am starting the 2nd, check the On TV section for more details. Finally, A&E has told me that there is a John Ritter Biography in the works, a tentative release date for early next year, stay tuned ...

As for the Three's Company Reunion for Fox, it seems if it airs it will be in November for sweeps, stay tuned for more info.  Also, the NBC telefilm will likely air this November as well.  There will be a Suzanne Somers Tvography on A&E Monday June 24th 8-9pm e/p and re-airs 12-1am the same night.

March 1st: A few days ago I reported that a deal for a reunion is almost done, and it seems that it is! I heard ABC was pursing the reunion, but now I have learned FOX will be airing it. Please continue e-mailing 3sco@dltentertainment.com and tell them you WANT a reunion! As soon as I hear more info, I'll pass it a long! Check the article: click here. Now some questions need to be answered! Such as when the TV-Movie on NBC will air? Will Chris Mann's TV-Movie based on his book air on ABC or now on FOX in conjunction with the reunion? Only time will tell...

February 27: TV Guide will have a two-page tribute to 3's Company in its March 9-15 issue, on sale Monday, March 4. The great Chris Mann wrote the story and interviewed John and Joyce for it. The article is in conjuction with TV Land's 25th Anniversary March 15 marathon. Also, I need everyone to e-mail 3sco@dltentertainment.com and tell them you would like to see a TV-Movie AND a Reunion. They are THIS CLOSE of making it happen for later this year. ABC is working on a 3 hour event--2 hour TV-Movie and 1 hour reunion special. Please e-mail DLT and tell them how much you want this! NBC is also making a TV-Movie, but of course if there is a reunion ABC will persue it.

February 23: Nick at Nite will change the Three's Company time starting Sunday March 10th, it will air 3 and 3:30AM seven days a week, but don't worry we have TNN Weekdays at 1 and 1:30PM, it is nice having the show on two channels. ALSO, a new E! True Hollywood Story on Suzanne Somers is going to air on March 17th, 2002 at 8pm-10pm e/p on E! All about Suzanne! Of course her Three's Company days will be a big part, let's see if it is the same as the E! Three's Company one!

February 14: Another cable channel will begin airing Three's Company every Weekday!  TNN, the sister station of Nick at Nite and TV Land will air the show Weekdays at 1 and 1:30PM E/P starting Monday February 25th!  Now we get the show on 2 channels regularly--Nick at Nite and now TNN!
