Episodes Included / Notable Guest Stars:
The episodes included on this disc are: "The One With
The Two Parties" (Originally Aired On: 5/2/96), "The
One Where Chandler Can't Remember Which Sister" (OAD:
1/9/97), "The One Where Rachel Smokes" (OAD: 4/8/99),
"The One Where They All Turn Thirty" (OAD: 2/8/01),
"The One With Phoebe's Birthday Dinner" (OAD:
10/31/02) and "The One With The Cake" (OAD: 10/23/03).
Packaging:
The cover art features a picture from one of the
episodes on the disc. For this cover we have a picture
of Rachel opening a birthday present. It's a simple
cover design for a single disc release. The back of
the box lists the episodes available.
Menu Design and Navigation:
The menu starts off with a shot of the six friends
together (it's a bigger version of what's on the top
of the disc case). It then goes to the main menu
screen which is identical to the cover art. The
FRIENDS theme song loops (no lyrics). Selections are:
Play (All), Episodes, Special Features and Languages.
Video and Audio Quality:
As expected, the video is very good, considering the
show is only about 12 or so years old. Audio is fine
as well and there are no problems to worry about.
Special Features:
Unlike the first two sets (Weddings and Babies), there
isn't any commentary. A bummer for fans, I'm sure.
Final Comments:
Another nice set--it's one of those items that a
casual FRIENDS fan might pick up to see their favorite
episodes if they aren't able to afford the full season
set. It was disappointing not to see any commentary
this go around (two out of three doesn't make any
sense). Overall though, a good job by Warner.
