Default Lecy gets shafted AGAIN

Has anyone been to the official Roseanne site on Nick at Nite? The Conner family photo album has tons of photos of Sarah Chalke and like two small ones of Lecy where you have to practically strain to see her. It's like someone was intentionally dissing Lecy. Then I heard Roseanne said some rude things about Lecy on a special and Lecy wasn't invited to the reunion special but Sarah was? It's stupid because Sarah placed the role for about a year and a half and Lecy owned the role for seven years? I'm wondering why the powers that be are trying to always downplay Lecy's contribution to the show and upplay Sarah's?

I think that Roseanne herself always thought that Sarah was the Better Becky (Roseanne Handpicked Sarah herself in a 1993 audition as the new Becky, but Lecy was handpicked by the producers in 1988 as Becky #1, not Roseanne)

Well she was wrong. Sarah was the wost actress on the show, imo. She never stopped smiling through her line and played the role as a complete sweetheart without any flaws whatsoever. She's also the worst thing about Scrubs too.

I have to agree with you somewhat.

Lecy was the better actress for her character. It fit her like glove.

Lecy perfected Becky to fit herself so of course she was better in most peoples minds. The pictures in Nick@Nite in the conner family album there are two of Lecy and 5 of Sarah. I don't think someone was trying to dissing Lecy. They people who created the site probably just chose pictures which matched the talking. Maybe people from the set were nice to Sarah because most fans prefered Lecy.

I remember Roseanne saying some very complementary things about Lecy when she returned to the show. It was something like, "Sarah is great, but it's like she was never really Becky because Lecy grew up with us." I didn't hear what Roseanne said about Lecy after the series ended. If she said something negative, maybe it was because Lecy didn't do the last year and there were bad feelings.

Sarah Chalke was really lousy in the role, but it didn't help that Becky was written differently during that period. Lecy never got the acclaim that she deserved -- she was every bit as good as Sara Gilbert during the show's peak (seasons 3 and 4).
