You're probably thinking of Time Enough At Last. Mr. Denton starred Dan Duryea, Jeanne Cooper & Martin Landau.

There are four episodes with Burgess Meredith. One features a "Doomsday" for civilization in it; that would be "Time Enough At Last." In the other, Meredith plays a character with a name something like "Mr. Denton": that episode is "Mr. Dingle, The Strong." The others are "The Obsolete Man" (which has doomsdays for a couple of individuals) and "Printer's Devil." Hope this helps. If you do mean "Time Enough At Last," that's one of my top favorites, too. In fact, that's one of the most popular episodes of the series. "Mr. Dingle" (a comedy about a vaccum cleaner salesman who is given superhuman strength by invisible Martians) isn't nearly as popular overall, but does have its devotees. |

Ep's ok if a little slow. Jeanne Cooper later turned up on the phony Psychic Friend's Network. Maybe she's a phony too.
