Default M*A*S*H Season 6?

Do we know yet when season 6 of M*A*S*H will be released on DVD? I've looked on all the usual websites and haven't seen anything. Anyone know? Thanks.

Lolac, I didn't know you liked M*A*S*H. I thought you only liked Dick Van Dyke.

I'm a big M*A*S*H fan! I love the show up until Radar leaves, which is when I feel it jumped the shark. I know others on this board think it jumped before that, but I will buy the season sets until Radar's last season. Of course, TDVDS never jumped the shark and I am really looking forward to getting season 3 in a couple of weeks!

Does this mean that you won't buy season 9-11. Season Seven was the last season to have Gary Burghoff in the payroll. But in Season Eight they did a farewell episode. So do you mean to tell me that you won't get the series after Radar leaves? That's a shame because if others feel the same way then M*A*S*H is in jeopardy for arriving on DVD.

I will buy up to season 7. I didn't like the Radar farewell episodes in season 8, so it's not worth it to me to buy it. I absolutely can't stand what happened to this show after season 7. It became way too pc. The actors were always screaming, especially Col. Potter. Klinger was terrible as the company clerk. He lost all his charm when he stopped wearing dresses. I see no point in buying DVD sets that I will never watch. Some people on this board feel that M*A*S*H jumped the shark after Henry and Trapper left. That doesn't seem to have hurt the sales of the DVD sets. I think people will buy what they prefer. I just don't happen to prefer the last 3 seasons.

Agreed the series got way too PC and serious once Radar left for good. The last season is almost totally avoidable.

WTF? I guess no one on this board can take the heat of a good drama.

The price for the complete season is not worth that one episode. You know, this show had a great influence on me in my youth. I became an operating room nurse because I wanted to be like the nurses on M*A*S*H. However, I like to watch this show because it is funny. When it stopped being funny, I stopped watching.

Just becuase they stopped using the laugh track doesn't mean the show wasn't funny.

Thanks, BillyK. I also got the e-mail today from TVShowsonDVD.com. I can't wait for the date to be announced so I can pre-order it. I love season 6, the first season with Charles Emerson Winchester III. He was so insufferable!
