Default Question For Long-Time DOOL Fans - Marlena's Twin

I glanced at one of the soap magazines, and it said Marlena's twin, may be involved in the killer storyline.

My question is "Wasn't Marlena's twin already murdered, by one of Salem's killers?

A long time ago, before I even started watching, I remember reading fans protesting when they thought Marlena was murdered, only it was her twin, that was murdered.

Deidre Hall, does have a twin, in real life.

Andrea Hall, Deidre's real life twin sister, played Samantha Evans back in the late-70's. In, 1981 or 82, Samantha was killed by the Salem Strangler.

Andrea Hall returned to Days in 2000 as Hattie Adams a woman who worked as a waitress who unknowingly allowed herself to become a victim of Stefano and Rolf's. When last seen, she had already undergone a face lift and a nose job in an attempt to look more like Marlena.

Jake Kositchek and he killed: Bonita Jean Bradford
Denise Peterson
Laurie Masters
Mary Anderson (strangled the night that Shenanigans opened)
Renee Dumonde (attacked her twice--not killed)
Samantha Evans (he thought he was killing Marlena)

I wasn't aware that Andrea Hall had returned to the show. That answers my question. Thanks.

Jake Kositchek, was the younger brother of Chris Kositchek, the character Josh Taylor, used to play.

Don't remember what happened to him, though.

Was Mary Anderson, the late Mary Frann, who played Bob Newhart's wife?

Nope, Mary Frann played Amanda Howard Peters from 1974-1979.

Melinda O. Fee played Mary Anderson when the character was killed off.

The Salem Strangler was supposed to REALLY kill Marlena, but fans had a cow and wrote the show like crazy, so they ended up killing off Samantha instead of Marlena, and that's when the show really realized just how popular of a character Marlena was.
