Default Upcoming AI Shows: AI on the Road, World Idol, AI3... Look!

December 23 Re-air: AI Christmas Special on FOX
December 25 World Idol: 9pm FOX
January 1 AI: Life on the Road: 8pm FOX
January 1 World Idol: 9pm FOX
January 19 American Idol 3: 8pm FOX
January 20 American Idol 3: 8pm FOX (2-hour)
January 21 American Idol 3: 8pm FOX

They decided to bump AI3 a day earlier, and they also decided to add a "AI:Life on the Road", which is a look at the idols on tour.

also, i would like to mention how World Idol is gonna work. According to a lot of sources, its gonna be like this...

in United States.... whoever has the most votes gets 10 points. Whoever gets the 2nd most, gets 9 points, etc.... then we'll see the world idol

according to www.idolfan.org , the Canadian judge bashed her, but Simon defended Kelly, and got mad at the Canadian judge, who everyone thinks is a "Simon Wannabe"

How do I vote?
To vote, simply watch World Idol on CTV airing December 25th and dial the phone number of the competitor for whom you wish to vote. Ten toll-free phone numbers will be promoted on screen – one for each of the competitors except for Ryan Malcolm (see ”Why Cant I Vote for Ryan?” below).

When Do I Vote?
In Canada, a two-hour voting window will open following the Dec. 25 performance episode. The lines will NOT be open before that. The voting window will be tied to the local broadcast on CTV stations across the country. Rules and procedures are subject to change at producer’s discretion without notice.

Why Can’t I Vote For Ryan?
The home competitor from each participating country (e.g. Ryan Malcolm from Canada) will automatically receive 12 points (see Points System Below). Viewers in each country therefore CANNOT vote for the home competitor, but instead will vote on the remaining 10 competitors. This ensures votes are cast based on performance and not home-country allegiance

What Else Do I Need To Know?
In order for Canadians to participate, viewers MUST to be tuned to their local CTV station and not their local FOX station who will be airing a US version of the special. Each country is producing a customized version of World Idol. While the show is similar, the FOX broadcast will display different 1-800 numbers that will NOT be valid in Canada. Canadian viewers CAN NOT vote for Ryan – or any of the other competitors - via the US toll-free numbers. CTV’s broadcast will display 1-800 numbers that are valid in Canada only.

How is the voting structured?
Each country gets to vote using their own voting systems. The home competitor from each participating country (e.g. Ryan Malcolm in Canada) will automatically receive 12 points. The competitor who receives the most votes will receive 10 points, the competitor with second-highest vote tally will receive 9 points all the way through to the competitor who scores the fewest votes who will score one point. The points each Idol
gets from each country will be tallied and added together by an independent vote management company to determine their overall position in the contest. Then on New Year’s Day, producers will reveal the highly anticipated results. The competitor who has finished with the highest combined point-total will be crowned World Idol. See below for a breakout of the points system:

Points System:
Home country competitor – 12 points
1st place – 10 points
2nd place – 9 points
3rd place – 8 points
4th place – 7 points
5th place – 6 points
6th place – 5 points
7th place – 4 points
8th place – 3 points
9th place – 2 points
10th place – 1 point

Who can vote?
Anyone calling within Canada can cast his or her vote for the World Idol.

How much does it cost to vote?
Telephone calls to the World Idol voting lines are toll-free.

Can I vote by using my cell phone?
Yes, you can vote using your cell phone, although airtime and applicable roaming charges will apply to toll-free numbers from wireless phones. Contact your cell phone service provider if you want to know how much you will be charged.

I couldn’t get through to the lines or all I get is a fast busy signal when I call – why?
Although the telephone network is designed to handle large volumes of calls simultaneously, there may be times (particularly just after the show) when it will not be able to handle every single call due to the sheer volume. If you are calling during your voting window but can’t get through to cast your vote, be patient and try again.

If you hear the fast busy signal it may be that you are calling outside of the voting window. When your voting window closes, lines will switch from a “thank you for voting” message to a fast busy signal.

If you are sure you are calling within your voting window but still can’t get through, it may be that your local phone company has been flooded with calls. Try waiting a few minutes before calling again. If you still have problems, contact your local phone company.

If you are calling from a cell phone with an area code that is in a different time zone from that in which you are calling, the network will accept or reject your vote based on the time zone of your cell phone’s area code. So, for example, if you have a Toronto cell phone area code but are calling from Vancouver you will be voting outside the East Coast voting window and your vote will not be accepted. Try calling again from a landline phone.

When I called I heard the wrong competitors number – why?
All lines for World Idol are tested before going on-air to make sure the lines work and are playing out the correct audio. If you call and hear the wrong competitor number it’s possible you accidentally misdialed so check the number and dial again.

What will I hear if I call the toll-free numbers?
Voting begins at the end of the show when ALL of the competitors have performed - if you call before then, you will hear a fast busy signal or a message “The phone lines will open following the broadcast” and your vote will NOT count.

At the end of the performance show phone lines will be opened. Voting lasts for 2 hours, from the end of the show and during that time you will hear a pre-recorded message thanking you for voting for your chosen competitor. Each competitor will have his or her own number read/shown on air and the phone message will confirm for whom you have voted.

After the voting window, no more votes will be accepted and lines will play out a ‘fast busy’ signal.

Are there other ways to vote, such as over the Internet or SMS text messaging?
No. Only votes made by landline or cell phones are accepted.

You had SMS (text messaging) voting for Canadian Idol, why not for World Idol?
Introducing SMS voting is time-consuming for technical reasons and there would not be enough time for all the wireless telecommunications across Canada to implement SMS at this time.

How do I find out the results?
The performance show will air on CTV Thursday, December 25th and the results show will be broadcast Thursday January 1st – so make sure you don’t miss the results show if you want to see how your vote affected the results!

What's being done about power dialing?
Production will have in place a monitoring procedure designed to prevent individuals from unfairly influencing the outcome of the voting by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements. The producers reserve the right to remove any votes identified by producers as 'power dialing' votes.

Why can't I vote on the Internet?
Only toll-free voting is available for World Idol.

ARGH we cant vote for Kelly oh well, she still gets 12 pts

If I was on the show(thank goodness I can't sing!!) and Simon barked at me, I would say "Simon, you wouldn't be looking for another job would you?" in a very, very, smarty-aleck way!!
