He wasn't shot. He was hit with a brick in the head. I liked him a little, but he was never very mature. I think it was a good way for him to go. Even if he recovered, he would be brain damaged. I find the serial killer story extremely interesting.

Something about this story I like is how everyone is dieing in ironic ways. Abe getting shot (he's a policeman around guns all the time) , Jack getting hit in the head (Jack's always been quirky so he needed a quirky way to go) , they say Maggie will die from something to do with her struggle with Alchohalism. The other's will also die from ironic things. I like that they are doing that, it adds to the story.

In one of the soap opera magazines, they said the actress who played Caroline wanted to fall into a huge vat of clam chowder. That would definitely be ironic. They even had Matthew Ashford draw a picture with her feet sticking out of the vat. Unfortunately, they didn't publish it.

I seriously doubt that's how she dies.

I really liked Jack and I'm really sad to see that he's going to die. It's so heartbreaking seeing Jenifer and Abby so upset, especially Abby. She's too young to understand why Jen decided to take him off life support.

And BTW, I have a feeling that Jen may be pregnant.

I am really loving the serial killer storyline. It involves so many different characters and pleases just about everyone. It was sad to see Jack go, but I was more than ready for it. His character had begun to get a little old to me. I'm very interested in seeing how the others die.

Probably not. Remember: She said she wanted to get pregnant. I don't think they had been together very recently, though.

First of all they made love the night before Jack was killed. I bet you any money, she's going to find out that she's pregnant in a couple months.

Second of all, I'm glad to see Jack go, I never liked Matthew Ashford's portrayal of the character, give me Mark Valley any day.

However, with the impending demise of Maggie, I'm suddenly finding myself not wanting her to go.

As for the killer, I'm dumbfounded. Who could it be? I don't think it's any of the seven suspects but who knows it actually could be anyone really. I'm hoping for Marlena, Larry or Stefano.

mark valley?
not me. he was good, but matthew ashford is jack. valley made the character a different character. ashford is one of my fav actors. so this upsets me.

me, i think jenneifer will be pregnant now.
if it was me, i'd bring jason brooks back so she and peter can get back together. and when they do, they can tie up that loose end about it being peter that tried to make laura think she was going crazy.
BTW, when they kill maggie, a few months later would be a great time to get mickey and laura back together. finally.

I agree, I never liked Ashford's portrayal of Jack. In a way, I didn't want to see Jack leave. Jack was beginning to become a interesting character. I feel so bad for Jennifer.

There's one thing about Jack's demise that upsets me. His demise topped Abe's death. That and, before Abe had a proper burial, the writers' had to go and kill Jack off. They should have had a funeral
before killing off another character.

I've heard differently about Maggie. I heard that Maggie's throat will be slashed. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

man, i really hated today's episode. when i started watching this show again in '93, it was at the time that kate tried to seduce jack. victor was about to do him in then for his investigating at one of his land interests (tract 51 ?) that ended up being what jack felt caused abbey's aplastcianemia.
matthew was leaving the show then. but in the short time, i really like his acting. jack was quickly a fav character. then when he came to general hospital as tom hardy, i was excited as i would get to enjoy him in another character. that didn't last long before they got rid of him.
now he is gone. i am truely bummed.

Jason Brooks and Melissa Reeves probably would never work together again. They had an affair together which prompted to her leaving in 1995.

As for Peter making Laura go crazy, Jennifer already found that out. Daniel Scott spilled his guts to her in October 1996, just prior to him falling out of a window at one of Stefano's hideouts, thus becoming the corpse Stefano needed to fake Peter's death in November of 1996.

That must have been the one episode I missed. She probably is pregnant then, since she never gets a break.
