Default The Ring ending?

Ok, I don't get it! At the end Naomi Watts and her son are watching the video because he said that she(the little ghoul girl) is still alive. Why are they watching it?

Well they said that all Samara wanted was to be heard. So they wanted to make a copy of the tape, b/c well, they had already seen it...so it's not like watching it again will make them die sooner. And Naomi Watts character made a copy of it, that's why SHE didn't die. So she was having the little boy make a copy so he wouldn't die either. Yup, they're gonna make a sequel tho...supposedly

I jumped outta my seat at the very beginning when they showed the flashback of the first victim's mother opening the closet.. creepy as hell.

That's incredible, and at the same time, it makes sense for you to have written up 12 pages on it. It's one of those movies I don't get tired of watching, and I seem to catch something I missed the previous time.

I dunno how the hell you understood The Ring! That film was a bit hard to follow- I'd probably have taken forever to work out the ending. It's creepy- It scared the crap out of me when the little girl stepped out of the screen.
There's always been a sequel to the ring when it's made in Japan- and a prequel, so it'll probably happen in Hollywood as well.
Also- is the 'term paper' you wrote like an English paper- and can you still get a good grade writing about movies?

I'm majoring in film studies - it was for a class on American films, so yeah, it kinda had to be about a movie

Btw, I got an A

I saw this movie once in the theatres and I just watched it again a few hours ago.. I still don't get it. At all. If someone helps me with this, I'll be your new best friend.

Where the hell did the original tape come from? Who made it? How did it end up in that cabin? How did Katie die? I mean, was she scared to death? Why did Samara come back if they set her free, because she never stops?

Ahhhhhh my head hurts!
