Default Bill O'Reilly

I personally cannot stand him. He is a pompous, self-absorbed, self-promoting idiot who has had people actually stand up and leave in the middle of one of his interviews because he pissed them off way too much, and they couldn't get a word in.

Cool

A few years ago when I first saw him, I was interested because he was well educated and informed, but I lost interest quickly when he was rude and nasty toward people. I dont like confrontational type stuff, because it goes against the "educated and informed" I usuallly leave that kind of behavior to folks who are ignorant. I also don't like his way of saying, "I speak for YOU." How can someone speak for me and claim to be fair and balanced? Is he Evita or what?

Did anybody watch his show last night? He had a poll on his website, and according to him, the "scientific" results were the 91% of all Americans say France is our enemy! Now the percentage of anti-war people is DEFINITELY greater than nine percent, and besides that, I don't think all of the warmongers would call France an ENEMY! But O'Reilly is scientifc as usual...

He's twisting the information. What the actually truth is that 91% of the people who watch his show and visit his website think that France is our enemy. The poll isn't very scientific, imo since only viewers of his show voted, not all Americans.

France our enemy, eh? Well, I'm not in the habit of punishing other people for having opinions, so I think despite the stupid stuff my government does, I'll just stay friends with them.

That whole think with renaming french fries "freedom fries" and dumping french wine into the ocean was embarassing enough, then I flipped on the news (fox and friends, which i used to love)
and they were gathered together and making fun like school children. It might have been silly if I hadn't already been sick to death of all the racism, whining, and nastienest I have to listen to
everytime I turn on the tv. When we first got Fox news, I just thought it was the coolest and most fun thing, but I dont even turn it on anymore.

In fact, I'll admit--when Fox News first started, even though they started out on a conservative premise, I thought that they were somewhat fair when they first started... but ever since the 2000 election, they have become a right-wing propaganda outlet. But back to the France thing... the right-wing PUNISHING the French for DISAGREEING is the one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. France has done NOTHING to be our enemy... instead, they disagreed with a war that should've NEVER been fought and now the right-wing is punishing them. Isn't this how politics works in third world countries? Yes.

Ugh...that was sickening. I love this country, but we really are looking like a bunch of ignorant Neanderthals to the rest of the world.

Oh, exactly. There are plenty of educated, good americans out there; where are they? Not on Survivor, Big Brother, Who Wants to Hump a Millionaire, or Fear Factor. Are Americans depicted as flattering anywhere? God help us all.

And while our polititians are busy trying to whip people into a frenzy about some non-existant BS, who pressured the EPA to lie about the air quality the rescue people at the WTC were breathing? Who went along with it?

The guy who says our greatest enemies live a million miles away. How many of our "new yorker" americans might have their lives cut short due to cardiopulmonary disease without a bomb being dropped? I absolutely cannot wait till the next election.

It's really sad that, that is how we are percieved in the world. But Hey, it's not their fault, it's ours for putting all that crap out there....Joe Shmoe?....geezus when will this reality stuff die! What we put out for the world to see, IS how most of the world sees us, and as long as these shows, and political propaganda continue we won't look any better to the rest of the world or ourselves.

It plainly says on his website that his polls are non-scientific. And, he says it, too.

So do I. He means what he says. He doesn't care if an issue is popular or not. He doesn't go by what polls say.
He makes a lot of sense (putting the military on the border, for instance. There is no way we can say the U.S. is "secure" if our borders are wide open).

Apparently, you must have not watched on Wednesday night. He presented the 91% statistic as an actual statistic that reflects what America really thinks, saying that it must be true beccause of the high number of people that voted in it.
