Another happy showbiz marriage bites the big one.
From the IMDB: Hollywood screen stars Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke have split. After five years of marriage and two children - daughter Maya, five, and son Roan, one - the pair have separated, reportedly because of Hawke's romance with 22-year-old Canadian model Jen Perzow. According to American tabloid the Star, Pulp Fiction beauty Thurman, 33, learned that the affair took place while she was in Vancouver filming Paycheck with Ben Affleck, and Hawke, 32, was on the other side of Canada in Montreal shooting Taking Lives with Angelina Jolie this summer. A source says, "Ethan and Jen went out of their way to avoid being seen in public - but they still shared intimate evenings at his rented loft. Ethan was giving Jen gifts until the time his movie wrapped in August and he left Montreal." A source close to Thurman continues, "When Uma first got wind of Ethan's cheating, they talked and she decided that maybe a one-night fling could be just a mistake and they could work through it. But when people told her that he was having an affair and was with the same girl more than once, it appeared as if it was instantly over in her mind. It seemed like there was no talking, no forgiving, no third chances." And while the pair have parted, no moves have yet been made to make their separation permanent. A representative for the couple states, "At this present time, there are no plans for a divorce." Caught with your hand in the Canadian cookie jar. Ethan, Ethan, Ethan... ![]()

Ah, yes, The Star, such a reliable source!! You know they check and recheck their sources, then check it again. While I don't doubt that the Ethan & Uma story is true, I have a very hard time believing tabloids. I can't understand why somebody that beautiful would get cheated on. There has to be alot more to it. Guess beauty isn't everything.

It's in The Boston Herald too, not a tabloid rag. It's everywhere.

Well, another one bites the dust. Now I know what some people mean when they say they're as serious as a Hollywood marriage... |

Serious as a Hollywood Marriage. I like that.
I saw Ethan and Uma at a bar downtown a few days before the story broke that they were an "item." He's one of those celebs who thinks he's going incognito by wearing a wool cap pulled down over his head. Only he does it in June. ![]() |

Uma Thurman. One of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood. Body to die for, & even she gets cheated on. Wow. Ok, I'll admit it- us guys *are* never satisfied.
Hey Ethan- give her MY email address! ![]() |

I have a gift of spotting American tourists in Ireland-they're the ones that see the sites that even the local people didn't know where sites- like visiting a tree stump, and they wear shorts everywhere, and a baseball cap and tiny rucksacks. Ethan Hawke barely does anything now-It was on IMDB a while ago that to get funding for a new movie he's allowing the public to buy shares in the film-I haven't found out anymore about that-I'd like to try that, not so much to make money-just cos it's a movie you're contributing too- which is kinda cool, maybe they could send every shareholder a movie prop. If not- at least you'd have the satisfaction of pointing at a scene and say- I paid for that plastic axe. If there's a divorce there'll be no chance of him making a movie- but at least he's one director shooting movies with digital video and digital projection-if digital cinema gets popular it'll be much cheaper for indie movie makers to make movies. |

Martin Sheen calls his wife of 40 years his 'Trophy Wife'.
Mel Gibson has been married for a long time and has 7 kids. Arnold Schwarzennegger and Maria Shriver are so far, so good. |
