I heard about this about a week ago. Megan Mullaly has said she is interested in doing a spinoff but only after Will and Grace has ended. Jeff Zucker the president of NBC would like to a do a spinoff in the 2004-2005 season. But Will and Grace is signed up until to the 2004-2005 season. so it is unlikely Megan will do a spinoff during that season. We'll only know when Will and Grace has actually ended.

I think that would be too much Karen for people to stomach.

Even though Karen's my favorite character...once people get used to a character with all of the other characters on one show...just them alone in a spin-off usually doesn't do too good. But then again you never know...

I agree with you Ashlee. One of the reasons I love this show so much is that the writers are so creative and the actors are so believable, therefore they are able to make the characters act off one another so successfully. The four of them work magic together. Karen alone without Jack, Will, and Grace just doesn't seem right. It works okay with other shows, but I can't really see it happening with Will & Grace.

I would love a Karen spinoff, but I think a "Jack and Karen" spinoff would be even better, maybe even with the occasional guest appearance by Will and Grace.

The reason why a show like Karen might develop is the same reason why Friends are bringing about a spinoff with Joey, and the same reason they did Frasier. These
characters have very little back history that is established. They're practically a clean slate, so there's lots of room for other writers to develop a new show and go off in another direction. It has nothing to do with who's most popular, at least in my opinion.

as my screen name indicates, i love karen, but i think jack is the strongest character with spinoff potential. there are a number of story lines they could develop with him because we see different aspects of his life: his acting career...soon to be nursing career, love life, and fatherhood.

If NBC wants to do a spinoff, they should do one with Minnie Driver.

I think that would be a great idea! However I'm not sure that the ratings wold survive. People would get a litlle bored of her antics after a bit.

We've confused many people on the set because there is not one part of my body that Sean has not touched, nor me his. And I can't explain it-it's just our way of relating. I mean, if we were presented to the queen of England, I'd probably be grabbing his package."
