I just got back 2 days ago from a trip to the U.P. with my parents. Well, the first night we were driving up about 10 miles outside of the town we were to stop at for the night, the car in front of us suddenly slowed down, so my dad slowed down to about 5 mph when a deer came running across the road a just flopped onto our windshield! It was really freaky. It wasn't hurt and our car was fine (personally I would be more worried about the deer than the car!) Well, the people in front of us stopped to see if we were OK and we ended up talking (or my parents did) for 10 minutes on the side of the busy highway at dusk. Anyways, it was kind of cool. Considering I lived in Wisconsin my whole life, I'm surprised I never hit a deer before. It was a good trip, but I got sick on the last day! So, I'm not feeling too well now.

I'm feeling a lot better than I did 2 days ago. If the deer did die, or even was hurt I'd feel just awful and would want to do something, but I'm sure my dad would say we just have to leave it. It's not like you can take it to a vet. If it was a cat or dog I'd definitely try and save it! It was kind of cool though, but my mom was freaking out! Glad she wasn't driving!

Yesterday, I was driving in Chatham and I almost hit a deer. It's pretty common to hit deer around here, the deer have all become tame and they aren't bothered by cars or highways. Stupid Deer.
