Default TV's Best Decade (not just sitcoms)?

Vote and post comments on which decade -- starting with the 50s and ending with the 90s decade -- you think had a better quality and a greater selection of tv shows. I know this is a sitcoms board, but just for the sake of this poll, vote on tv shows in general -- Star Trek, Batman, Dallas, Twilight Zone etc. weren't sitcoms but are considered classics and/or a big show for its time -- so keep tv programs like that in mind when voting.........

Post comments on what decade you picked and why.

I voted for 60's because of my favorite show, The Monkees but there are quite a few other shows I like from that decade too.

I picked the 70s. Great game shows...lots of my other favs, like Adam-12, McMillan and Wife, and The Incredible Hulk. Lots of them started in the 60s and bled into the 70s as well.

I voted for the 1970s, because most of my favorite TV shows come from this decade, there are few shows that I like from other time periods, but this decade pretty much sums it all up.

I think that TV reached a creativity high during the 1980's.
