Debra was in a Clairol haircolor commercial and I'm trying to figure out what color she uses I'm desperate I want my hair that color but I'm going crazy trying to find it. Here's some pics I found on the web of the commercial

My Guess is that its a auburn color My highlights are sort of that color and its auburn

I already have auburn hair but it's an awful shade. Everytime I dye it it comes out too dark

hmmm I dont know then Mines Auburn but its lighter so you can see it I dont know what you'd call it maybe Chestnut?

I think it is auburn because Gillian Anderson's hair used to be that colour, they are the same. If you are using an artificial dye then it will all depend on what colour your hair is to begin with as to what it turns out like.
I know full well that Gillians used to be blonde if that helps.
