At TvShowsOnDVD.com, they have news about SOAP's release date and cover art. This probably means the NewsRadio info could be coming very soon.

Not to sound like I'm always complaining, but that ticks me off that they are working of "Soap" first. I'm very anxious to see NewsRadio come out. I could wait a while before I buy Soap. But at least something is happening. It's like once we hear it's coming out, then we don't hear anything else for months.

I hope they put all the deleted scenes back in NR before they release the DVD's!

does anybody have a rough idea, or better yet the exact date, that newsradio will be released on dvd?
does anybody know where i can check?

We don't know yet when it will be released, only that it's supposed to be released by the end of the year. However, if you go to the Sony Pictures DVD and Video page at http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/upcoming.html
you can see all their upcoming releases for the next 10 weeks or so. Right now they have them through October 7. Let's all cross our fingers and hope NR shows up on the list within the next few weeks.
