Default New to the Jeannie board

I have been watching the I Dream of Jeannie marathon this morning, and I never knew how much I missed Jeannie. I used to watch Jeannie a long time ago. Now, since the marathon, I think I'm going to start coming to this board more often. I usually post on other boards.

I just wanted to add a related anecdote. My dad used to be a rodeo cowboy and in the 60s, he met Barbara Eden & her husband, Michael Ansara who was starring in a western tv series at the time & he told them rodeo stories and such. Just thought i'd share that.

Hola amigos:

Good site and wonderful forum !

I have enjoyed "I Dream of Jeannie" since my childhood. We began to know the series through a bunch of others famous TV series like Bewitched, Lost in Space, Wild,Wild West, Adams Family, The Munsters, and others north American series here in Puerto Rico in the 70's during the afternoon TV schedule in one of the local channels.

Of course "I Dream of Jeannie"are one of the favorites and at the beginning we received Jeannie dubbed into Spanish it was called "Mi Bella Genio" which means My beautiful Genie, I think it was also a good title. Then with the Cable TV system and Satellites we began to receive the series in its original language. So, I prefer to watch "I Dream of Jeannie" in English, in that way you can learn more English and at the same time have fun.

We have seen Jeannie in some cable channels during the years and now we have the opportunity to see Tony and Jeannie in different times on TV Land. We had a great time watching the Marathon on June.

I have always felt that Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden have a great chemistry, they give energy, fun, and love through their characters. The camera capture the empathy and the electricity between them and the characters of Jeannie and Tony are well defined, funny and playfull and of course romantic.

One of the episodes of "I dream of Jeannie" has a very special place in our memory it is the episode called See you in Cuba (last season) where it mentions Puerto Rico. Tony is supposed to fly in a special airplane to Puerto Rico. But Jeannie makes the mistake to blink Tony to Cuba instead to blink him and the airplane to the Ramey Base in Puerto Rico. I think it is a very funny episode.

Definitely, I dream of Jeannie is one of the wonderful series of all time.

God bless Larry, Barbara nad Bill.
Larry looks really great on the Larry King Show.
