Well, if you have medium to long hair, I'd definitely say put it up. The woman who did mine put it into a ponytail, then curled that hair and dropped a few strands around the frame of my face. I liked it.

Check out Seventeen, YM, and CosmoGirl. It's prom-mania right now, I'm sure you can find some styles in there. Also, go to the salon and page through the style books.

Talking aha

Ok, question: What is Homecoming? I hate hearing about it on american teeny bopper sitcoms. Second, is there a prom in high school and college? Third- why not just wear a really cool hat?

Homecoming is in the fall, im not sure if its the same everywhere, but at my school its a football game, usually w/ a strong rival team and a lot of people go to the name, they have homecoming court (king and queen for each grade) and that night theres a formal dance.

i think there are proms in both high school and college. mine is juniors and seniors in high school

to the hat. suppose it would work!

Thumbs down

I'm afraid I can't give you any advice about how to wear your hair for the prom. I'm no good with girly stuff like that.
I don't understand why girls make such a big deal of proms and school dances and all that. I never went to any of those things when I was in school.

Maybe in small colleges, but there's no prom at universities. People just go to bars.

And hats don't go with formal dresses anymore.

Well if you plan on dancing all night , Your hair will get in the way.
So I would say put it up in a bun.Kinda like Mrs. Garrett's in the Facts Of Life.
