HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) – Actor Tim Allen (“The Santa Clause 2”) has signed on to star in the comedy “In the Pink” for Revolution Studios. The story is based on an idea by former "Saturday Night Live" producer Ryan Shiraki about a Texas playboy with a cushy corporate job who suddenly finds himself out of work
To make ends meet, he turns to selling Mary Kay cosmetics, which is a disaster at first, but he eventually learns the secrets to understanding women and becomes a top seller. The script was penned by Steven Brill (“Little Nicky”) but according to trade press, the studio is looking for writers to rewrite the script. Revolution Studios is also looking for a director. Allen is attached to begin work on a big-screen version of the 1950s television series, “Father Knows Best” as well as a remake of “The Shaggy Dog.” He’s also committed to star in a third “Santa Clause” movie. Production on “In the Pink” is set to begin sometime this year. |
