All this makeup talk has got me thinking about hair. How do you style it? What products do you use to wash/style it? Do you have a list of what you do? Are you more concerned with your hair or makeup? Any gripes about it? What kind of hair do you have?

Im more into my hair. Given, Im not a hair person, but when I do it I put in the effort. What pisses me off is that I cant curl it. One side will curl, and the other side wont--WTF?! Ive used hot rollers, styrofoam rollers, those bending ones (THEY SUCK!!), and hot rollers seem to work the best. If you use the small styrofoam rollers on medium length hair, you wind up looking like Shirley Temple! My hair is past my shoulders and just about reaches my bra strap. I recently got it layered so now the layers are even shorter then that- looks good. I also grew out my bangs (finally!). My hair type is fine/thin and oily. I always used to think my hair was thick, but its not- its thin, but I just have a lot of it which gives the illusion of thickness. I also have one crazy part that makes me look like Im balding. For shampoo I use TIGI Bedhead- I dont like conditioner. If Im styling my hair, I use like, 5 products. When I style, I basically just make it straight-- I dont do anything fancy to it. I like my hair straighter than it already is! First I put in my TIGI Bedhead Superstar blowdry stuff.. took me a while to figure out what the hell it was! Then I use the Back To Basics Liquid Lift for my roots. I also spray in a little Loreal Studio Volumatic root-lift spray gel. Then I blow dry and brush out with my head flipped over. Then Ill spray some Vidal Sassoon Thickening Spray and add some Back To Basics Sleek Creme and blowdry again. When its all dry Ill finish it with the Bedhed Control Freak and *maybe* aeresol spray. Usually takes me like, 15 minutes. If I dont domy hair and just let it air dry it gets all flat and has a few light waves--UGH!

I just wash it, dry it, and go. In the hotter weather or at work, I wear it up. I'm not too concerned about my hair. As long as it's neat and clean, I don't mind.

I wash it, (sometimes) brush it, and that's all I do. I don't mess with barrettes or rubber bands or anything like that.

I just got my haircut like three days ago and it's not quite shoulder length just a lil shorter, when I straighten it it looks so pretty! Here's what I do everytime I go out...

I Use Finesse 2 in 1 while washing it.

Straighten it until it looks longer, flatter, and straighter (my hair naturally curls and is wavy and I hate that so I do this I use 'Hot tools professional' it works really good if ya want straight hair.)

Thermasilk hairspray

and of course I brush it.

My hair is really short. I use gel to spike it, or sometimes I'll style it into a kind of mohawk. I'll sometimes paint parts of the back and sides and the tips of my spikes with hair mascara - I have this shade of electric blue which looks really cool.
I'm thinking of getting lines shaved into my hair. Even though I'm the only woman in my town who has a hair style like mine I still think it's kinda boring - it needs jazzing-up!
At weekends (when I don't have to go out into town) then I usually won't bother styling my hair at all - I'll just wear a baseball cap so noone sees it.

I do my hair in all sorts of styles. Since I'm too young to get a job, and my mom wont pay, I can't ever go to a beauty salon. But since I have very fine hair, it's not that hard to maintain..

I have naturally curly hair so it's hard to do anything with it. I use Rusk shampoo and conditioner and Joico styling foam to keep it from getting frizzy. Sometimes I wear it down but usually I put it in a ponytail.

I care a crapload more about my hair than I do about makeup. It's layered and it brushes my shoulders.

I get in the shower and wash it with Pantine Pro-V Smooth and Straight 2-1, Clairol Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Revitalizing shampoo and conditioner, or Clairol Renewlx5 Revitalizing shampoo and conditioner. Those latter 2 brands help my hair stay healthy.

I get out and spray Pantine Pro-V leave in conditioner in it, and then blow dry it. Since my blowdryer is so screwed up and broken, it makes my hair puffy, frizzy and amplified. So then I straighten it.

I use a Conair straighter, and I let it heat up for an hour. It'll be super hot (seeing as the directions say 6 minutes) but I need my hair straight. My hair is naturally a little wavy, so if I got a new blowdryer, it wouldn't be bad and I wouldn't have to straighten it at all, but it's layered and the damn dryer does a number on my hair.

I finish (only when my hair is TOTALLY poker straight) in about 45 minutes, and finish everything with Herbal Essences Styling Spritz. And woo hoo, we're done!

I usually just stick my hair up in a ponytail, stick a few hot rollers in it for a few minutes, take them out, and go ! Its much easier that way !

i care about hair and makeup about the same...but my hair takes more time...
i have reallyreally thick curly hair and i hate it.
i wash it at night because it takes an eternity to dry even w/ a hairdryer...and if i try to dry it quickly it frizzes beyond belief. So i wash it with White Rain Strawberry Essence Shampoo...then use White Rain Strawberry Conditioner and leave it in for 10 minutes or so (usually while i do my nails or remove makeup or something) then rinse it out. While its wet I brush it out straight if im feeling ambitious, otherwise i wrap it in a towel and come online for awhile...lol. Then dry it and brush it out straight as possible.
In the morning- it depends on my mood:
some days I straighten it..*goes to see what kind of straightener* its a Conair. and it takes forever because i hate my hair. then i use White Rain styling stuff to keep it straight.
other days i leave it curly which means i just brush it out and use face toner on the roots to keep it from frizzing weird at the top or looking bad (i learned that on A Makeover Story! lol)
then there are days i dont feel like doing anything and i just put it in a ponytail, curly/frizzy/whatever it is...cause i dont care. (and as chris and ash know, these are the days i get caught on camera singing i will survive...)

agh, anyone want to trade hair?

It's wierd. I've only actually started styling my hair in the past 6 months. Before that I could never be bothered cos I thought "well, noone fancies me anyway, so why make the effort?!" But since I have started making an effort I have gotten quite a few compliments.
It's not like anyone who has complimented me means anything to me - they've all been male - but it's still nice to know that you are noticed.
I kinda wish I'd bothered to make the effort sooner. When I was still at school there were a lot of nice girls who were up for having a good time with other girls. If I'd bothered to make myself look like I hadn't just fallen out of bed then maybe I'd have had a chance with some of them!!!!

I know it's not worth bothering about now but I still beat myself up on a daily basis for not taking my chance with Carmen. I'm not being big-headed, but if she knew me now, I know she wouldn't even think twice about Mandi!!!!

I care more about hair than make up.

I'm letting my hair grow long. I have thick, oily hair, I just got it permed so that I can just pick through it and go. It's alot easier to take care of.

Shampoo, I used Fructis in the shower and Dove 2-1 in the other bathroom. I don't really like the styling stuff in my hair, it makes it all stiff and gross.
