I was asked a question that I don't really know the answer to and was hoping someone could help me out.
Do dvd-r's play in the Playstation 2?? Thanks. William |

It depends on when the Playstation 2 came out. Early firmware versions aren't able to... I purchased mine in the summer of 2002 and it plays all DVD formats, including DVD-R. Check out www.vcdhelp.com then click on DVD players. Look up Playstation 2. They have an area dedicated to info on different firmware version etc. You can identify your console's firmware in the menu or by the serial number, I believe. Hope this helps.
