I know I usually do a preview but this was a spur of the moment Fan Fic, I hope you all enjoy.

~Hard Times To Get Through~

(Jo wakes up hoping to have a good day. She starts to make the family a nice breakfast, pancakes. Five minutes later she hears Rick coming downstairs.)
Rick: I thought I smelled something.
Jo: Uh huh.
Rick: What’s wrong.
Jo: Nothing. I just wanna have a good day but I got this feeling that it will be awful.
Rick: Anything I can do?
Jo: Don’t bug me while I’m cooking?
Rick: Can’t you cook and talk?
Jo: Yea just don’t talk too much or I’ll give you the burnt ones.
Rick: You wouldn’t give those to me now would you?
Jo: It’s either give Alexz, you, or the trash burnt pancakes.
Rick: I say give them to Alexz.
Alexz: (Comes down stairs in her PJ’s) Do you two got to talk about me when I’m not here.
Rick: I’m just trying to convince your mom to give you the burnt pancakes. She wanted to give them to me.
Jo: I didn’t even burn any! (Hands a plate to Rick) How many do you want Alexz?
Alexz: Usual.
Jo: Ok.
Alexz: Hey mom, can I turn the radio on Kid Kradic is on.
Jo: Sure.
Rick: Darn it she beat me.
Jo/Alexz: Huh?
Rick: I was gonna put it on John Boy and Billy.
Alexz: You snooze you loose.
Jo: Alexz.
Alexz: C’mon mom you know I’m right.
Jo: Yea you are right.
Rick: Hey! No one’s on my side.
Alexz: Whatever dad, stuff some food in your mouth.
Jo: Alexz, watch the mouth.
Alexz: Sorry mom.
Jo: Just watch it. Here eat some breakfast. (Hands her a plate)
Rick: Thanks Sweetie.
Jo: Yea, yea I know you love me.
Rick: You know I do. (Goes over by Jo and kisses her)
Alexz: Do you to hafta do that!
Rick: (Breaks the kiss) Of course we do. You get into it later.
Alexz: Yea, yea I’m only fourteen. (Not wanting to tell them she’s kissed a boy or two)
Jo: That’s what scares me.
Alexz: (Not wanting to get on the subject) Well breakfast was great mom gotta go get ready for school.
Jo: Hurry up.
Alexz: I will. (Fifteen minutes later she runs downstairs quickly kisses her parents goodbye and runs out)
Jo: I was never in that big of a hurry to get to class. Unless class started in a minute or two then I might’ve.
Rick: I was never late.
Jo: Yea you’re the kind of person that always made me look bad.
Rick: Nothing could make you look bad.

I won't be home tomorrow I was gonna be because there is no school but now mom's making me hang out with grandma so I won't be home. So here's two days worth. Enjoy. (Hint: I'm doing one scene a day)

(On her way to school Alexz makes a stop at someone’s house. At first she tenses up bur when a guy answers Alexz relaxes)
Guy: Hey, Shorty
Alexz: Shut-up Eddie.
Eddie: Yea, yea. Well come on in. (She goes in and they get a little carried away.)
(Around 10:00 Alexz realizes how late she is. She throws her clothes back on and tells Eddie good-bye.
Alexz: I’ll be back after class.
(What she doesn’t realize is that her parents know she’s not in class)

(In the school Jo is in there waiting for Alexz to show. The headmistress, Blair, has informed all her teacher to send her down to the office if she comes into class. Finally during fourth period she shows. When she gets to the office she is shocked to see her parents in there)
Alexz: Mom, what are you doing here?
Jo: Why are you just now getting her?
Alexz: Got sidetracked. (Hopes her hair is covering up a hickey on her neck)
Jo: Uh-huh. Well go on to class and see you after work. You better be home when I get there.
Alexz: I will be. Don’t worry.
Jo: Alexz I can’t believe you. I trusted you.
Alexz: Mom please don’t start now.
Jo: Alexz (Can’t think of what to say) I’ll deal with you later.
Blair: Jo, are you ok?
Jo: Yea I’m disappointed but ok. (Leaves)
Blair: Alexz I want to talk to you at lunch so bring your lunch in here.
Alexz: But…(Tries to start)
Blair: No buts.
Alexz: See you in ten minutes.
Blair: All right, I’ll be here.
Alexz: So will I. Against my will though.

I know its not much but that's all you get till Monday.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday I didn't have my disk with me. But here's the rest of it

Hope this makes ya'll happy

(Right after Alexz grabs her tray she tells her friends what’s going on and heads to Blair’s office. Blair is on the phone with a parent)
Blair: Sit down Alexz. (She said covering up the mouthpiece)
(Alexz sits down and starts to eat while listing to Blair argue. She enjoyed it because her mom told her that they fought all the time when they were younger)
Blair: (Hangs up the phone) Alexz what’s wrong?
Alexz: Nothing why?
Blair: Something’s gotta be wrong you were one of the top students here and the past few days have been strange.
Alexz: Your right.
Blair: I don’t want to dig in you personal life as me being you principal. I want you to tell me what’s going on like I’m your mom’s best friend. Forget I’m the principal for a bit.
Alexz: Ok, well it’s been so hard at home on me. I feel so out of place. I felt like I was going to collapse this morning coming down the stairs.
Blair: Will you tell me while you were late?
Alexz: Will you tell mom?
Blair: I won’t tell her.
Alexz: I was at Eddie’s. He’s sixteen.
Blair: Alexz you couldn’t have. Did you?
Alexz: Yea. I couldn’t help it I felt so out of place and it seemed like the only option.
Blair: You know it wasn’t the only option! Alexz I can’t believe you!
Alexz: I’m sorry Blair! What do you want me to do I can’t go back in time to change it. Even if I could I don’t know if I would!
Blair: Alexz I don’t know if I can keep this from you mother.
Alexz: What! Blair you can’t tell her she’ll kill me!
Blair: Alexz you’re her daughter I can’t keep that from her!
Alexz: I’ll be grounded for life!
Blair: Alexz look I do want the best for you just like you mother does and I gotta tell her.
Alexz: Fine. (Jumps up and says under her breath and she runs out) See if I tell you anything again.

(She runs straight to her mom’s work forgetting that she was supposed to go to Eddie’s but she needed to get to her mom. On the way she starts to cry uncontrollable and when she gets to the police station her face is beat red)
Alexz: Christy is mom here?
Christy: Yea Alexz are you ok?
Alexz: Yea I just need to talk to mom.
Christy: Well she’s in her office go on back.
Alexz: Thanks. (Heads back to her mother’s office)
(Jo is finishing up a case file when she hears a knock on the door) It’s open! (Not expecting to see Alexz)
Alexz: Mom? (Her voice is cracking like she could start crying any second)
Jo: Alexz? (Puts her paperwork down and goes over by her daughter) Are you ok?
Alexz: No. (starts to cry)
Jo: Honey, (Hugs her) What’s wrong. (Just as she said that someone knocked on the door and opened it.
Midge: Jo you got that file done yet?
Jo: Midge I’ll give it to you tomorrow. I probably need to take her home.
Midge: (Looks at Alexz) Al what’s wrong?
Alexz: Nothing. (Doesn’t sound too convincing)
Jo: Midge I’ll see you tomorrow. (Let’s go of her daughter puts her stuff up grabs her bag and purse) Alexz ready to go home?
Alexz: Uh-huh.

(They go home and when they get home they go up to Alexz’s room and Jo asks what’s wrong? Then the phone rings)
Jo: Hello?’
Blair: Jo, I guess she told you?
Jo: Told me what?
Blair: Has Alexz told you anything?
Jo: I was trying to get it out of her but you called.
Blair: Well would she rather tell you herself or have me tell you?
Jo: Hold on (Covers up the mouthpiece) Do you wanna tell me or should Blair?
Alexz: Which would I get off easiest?
Jo: I’ll let Blair tell me. (Into the phone) Tell me. (Blair tells her what Alexz told her at lunch and Alexz sees a tear roll down Jo’s face) Thanks Blair I need to go talk to her. Bye. (Hangs up and looks at Alexz)
Alexz: Mom (Says worriedly)
Jo: Alexz how could you? You know better then that haven’t you father and I taught you nothing?
Alexz: I’m sorry mom.
Jo: Alexz sorry doesn’t cut it. I’m going to call you father.
Alexz: Ok.
Jo: Rick?
Rick: Jo what’s wrong?
Jo: It’s Alexz.
Rick: What’s wrong?
Jo: (Gives him a quick version of what Blair told her)
Rick: Our Alexz?
Jo: Yea. (Starts to cry)
Rick: I’m coming home.
Jo: Rick you don’t have to. We need the money.
Rick: Jo you’re hurt, and our daughter is in trouble, I’m coming home. I don’t care about the money! You more important to me then money.
Jo: I love you. See you in a little while. (Hangs up and turns to Alexz) He’s on his way home now!
Alexz: You left early.
Jo: Alexz that won’t hurt us but we need the money! We can’t have both of us taking off. And don’t you smart off to me.
Alexz: Mom.
Jo: What!
Alexz: You’re scaring me. (Starts to cry uncontrolably and Jo goes over and tries to comfort her but Alexz pulls away the first time but the second time she lets her)
Jo: I really do love you Alexz I just want the best for you.
Alexz: I know. I’m just so ashamed.
Jo: I can’t blame you there. I feel like I failed you.
Alexz: Mom, you haven’t.
Jo: Yes I have if.
Alexz: Mom you and Dad have done great.
Rick: (Walks in) You two ok?
Jo: (Gets up and goes over and collapses in Rick’s arms and cries)
Rick: Alexz, well talk punishment later. (Scoops Jo up in his arms and carries her into their room)

(When he gets to their room Jo hasn’t calmed down much)
Rick: Jo what’s wrong?
Jo: We’ve failed her.
Rick: Who Alexz?
Jo: Who else? Do you think that if we did our job well she would’ve done that?
Rick: Jo, its not all our fault she made the decision. We didn’t make it for her.
Jo: Everytime she makes a decision she bases it on what we’ve taught her.
Rick: Jo quit blaming it on yourself.
Jo: Rick why did you take off today? Taxes are right around the corner and you know we need the money.
Rick: You and Alexz are more important then money.
Jo: Rick we gotta pay the bills!
Rick: I know that but aren’t you glad I’m here?
Jo: Of course I am. What are we going to do about Alexz?
Rick: What can we do?
Jo: Don’t get me started.
Rick: What do you have in mind?
Jo: Well we could ground her, make her do double chores, or not let her go anywere but school, library, our work, or where ever we want her too.
Rick: All of the above.
Jo: I agree. (Smiles)

(They go in Alexz’s room and tell her the punishment. She is upset at all she can’t do and that she has to double chores. She then realizes that her parents went easy on her. She was so realived when they learned she didn’t get pregnant. Then a few weeks later she learns she has a baby brother or sister on the way)

Thats it Denise. I know I know my shortest story EVER it prolly will be I'm working on another one just started it today and it is already longer then this one! I tell you about it later or if you get on MSN (hint hint!!)
