Default NICK Season Sizes

Why are do the Nickelodeon shows only get 13 episodes per season? (the live action shows like All That, Taina, Kenan and Kel, Clarissa, etc)... And the ABC/NBC/CBS etc shows get 22?...

Why did you even reply if you weren't going to give a real response?

I truly do not know why. Sorry I couldn't help.

Cable networks usually give their shows smaller seasons than regular networks. It's probably because they don't make as much money and don't have as many viewers, though that's just an educated guess.

And not as many people have cable, but if they have a TV, they're sure to have NBC, ABC, and CBS. So more people have access to watch the locals than the big cable channels.

Just another educated guess thrown into the question pool.

Probably trying to boost his post total.

Getting back on topic, I noticed that too. I remember when My Brother and Me used to air, I noticed they kept repeating the same number of episodes. I was like, "When are they going to air new episodes?" Same thing with Salute Your Shorts, I was tired of seeing the same 26 episodes over and over again. I wanted something new.

Yeah, I realized the same thing with those two shows , BJL. But then I realized in later years that those shows originally ran in the early 90's and got cancelled. I started watching those shows in 1996 or so, when it was cancelled, so I kept seeing the same ones over and over. It would be nice to see newer ones.

Another show that will probably run that pattern is the newly cancelled "Taina". It ran for 2 seasons, 26 episodes, and is being reran, newer fans will wonder why they see the same episodes over and over.
