Let's Get Ready To Rumble!
By Brett Ferino
CHIT CHAT COLUMNIST

OK. This may not be something that I usually have in my columns. All I would like to know is "Are You Ready To Rumble"?

Usually, I have TV related columns and so on. No wonder why they call it "Chit Chat".

Anyway, I think pro wrestling is not the same as it sued to be. One of my teachers had stated to me that it is all stunts. But is that the way it used to be?

Who at this message board likes to tune into "WWE Modnay Night RAW" on TNN? Who watches "WWE Sunday Night Heat" onj there as well? How 'bout "WWE Smackdown" on UPN's Thursday night schedule?

Back in 1998 and early 1999, I seemed to be hooked on with WWF. But when it sorta went downhill, I tuned into WCW until they had gone out of business last year. I want it to come back. As someone would say to me, it 'aint comin' back, Jack! Oh, and my name isn't Jack..

The wrestlers don't seem to be good nowadays. The ones that were good are probably retired, dead, bored, coming back, and so forth. The wrestler who I've always seemed to be a big fan of has to be Ric Flair. And he is the Nature Boy.

Whoooooooooooooooo!

And now Vince McMahon, Jr. seems to want all of his money. Why is his daughter doing endorcements for 1-800-CALL-ATT with Carrot Topp? Does she want more moolah?

And we haven't heard from Shane McMahon since WCW and ECW had gone out of business. Has anyone seen Mama Mia (aka Linda McMahon)? Does anyone thing WWE is entertainment or actual sports?

And why did the "E" for ECW stand for Extreme? My friend once said it stands for "European". He was wrong, although he was some smart kid.

Before I get ready to rumble, Sumo-Wrestling is also cool. How about stuff like Australian wrestling? I miss Sid Vicious and Randy Savage.. But one place we still see Randy is on commercials for Slim Jim? Slap into a Slim Jim! Ooooooooooooh Yeaaaaaaaaaaah!
