In my mom's class, her kids are required to do a research paper on an author and one of mom's kids wants to do it on Homer. Mom can't think of his real name, does anybody have any idea?
thanks D |

Are you talking about the Homer who wrote the Iliad? I'm pretty sure his name was simply Homer. I don't think he went by another name.

Yeah, Homer is his name; at least that's what he's known as. If there's more to his name it's disappeared long ago.
![]() Good luck to the kid finding info on the guy - we're talking ancient Greece here. It might be easier to do a more modern writer - like Shakespeare! ![]() |

I always thought Homer was his only name. At least no one told me any different.
