Default Wally's lack of sex drive

I find it really interesting that Wally, Lumpy and Eddie never even TRY to kiss a girl. I totally understand that sex was never discussed, but kissing was always all right and you never see a scene where Wally takes his date to the door and tries to kiss her. I mean, don't you think Eddie was ever in that situation?

I just find that an interesting little thing about the show. We know that Wally and co. are interested in girls, but, according to the show, we never really know why.

Just a thought.

I think the only time I ever saw Wally involved in a kiss was on "Box Office Attraction" when the girl kissed HIM. And what a look of shock came over Wally

I do notice, though, that he gets very tongue tied when he tries to approach a girl.

Even though we didn't see it, I think they did kiss their dates. In one episode, after Beaver kissed a girl in his school play, he commented that he didn't like it as much as Wally does. And in another episode, Eddie's recounted what happened when he went over to a girl's house, knocked on the door, and said "Kiss me, baby" when the door opened. Only it turns out the father was at the door instead of the girl. I think Wally must have kissed the girls he really liked, like Mary Ellen and Julie Foster. Eddie probably kissed whoever he could. He seems to be pretty smooth in later episodes at the whole flirting bit. Look at him during parties.

I don't know why kissing wasn't really shown or discussed on the show (except for a few times, like when Marlene attacked Wally, or when Donna Yeager kissed Beaver on the cheek...not to mention Violet Rutherford!), except maybe the writers thought it might tie too much into sex??? But my impression is that probably a little bit of kissing went on during Wally's dates, and maybe a little bit more with Eddie and some of the other people, especially when they got older. I don't think anything much went on when Wally started to date, because back then he was afraid of girls and not even sure if he really liked them!
