Thumbs down A.U.S.A - Looks Like A "Night Court" Carbon Copy...

Whatdo you guys think of AUSA? I think it looks horrible. The reviews have been mixed to negative. NYPost gave it **1/2 out of *****, while TVGuide.com said that it'd one of the top 50 worst shows of all-time. What do you guys think? Hopefully, you'll agree with me that Foley won't have as much of a luck streak as Gardner. I'd suggest no one watch this. Maybe they'll bring In-Laws back...lol.

I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings with this thread or anything, but I just wanted to hear others opinions aout how the show looks and all. Thanxxx

There's a reason why some shows air this time of year.

I will be watching however.
It'll be like driving by a traffic accident.
You know what you're going to see is bad, but you just can't resist.

And it's ratings probably won't be all that great either. I say from highest to lowest rated in the 930-1000 hour:

#1: 24
#2: The Guardian
#3: AUSA
#4: Less Than Perfect
#5: Smallville
#6: One On One

Frasier will win it's timeslot, but AUSA will likely drop quite badly from there. I've actually decided to make a chart of my predictions of the highest rated to lowest rated shows of the entire evening. Here you go:

#1: American Idol
#2: Judging Amy
#3: 24
#4: Frasier
#5: JAG
#6: 8 Simple Rules
#7: According To Jim
#8: Fear Factor
#9: The Guardian
#10: Kingpin
#11: NYPD Blue
#12: A.U.S.A
#13: Life With Bonnie
#14: Less Than Perfect
#15: Gilmore Girls
#16: Smallville
#17: Abby
#18: One On One
#19: Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Maybe I should do this for every evening!

I actually didn't think it was that bad. It wasn't laugh out loud funny, but not bad either. The Pilot episode is always hard to judge because pilots are hardly ever funny.

Okay, I watched the pilot last night, and again this afternoon, and yes, I still didn't like it.

Still, it's better than "Good Morning Miami," but that's not saying much.

Keep an eye on that cutie Amanda Detmer, sitcom watchers.
I have a feeling we'll be seeing her again soon. This show won't be her big break, but I will put money on her showing up again on another NBC series this Fall.

The rating was pretty mediocre at best. It received a 7.5 I believe, which is good technically. It tied with 8SR for the night. It did also lose 35% of Frasier's audience...

A.U.S.A. wasn't that bad or that funny, but I still think that Good Morning Miami is much better and funnier. Let's just see what happens.

I was switching between this and Less Than Perfect from time to time. I hated this show. Scott Foley was totally forced, and tried to be another Jack Tripper. It was a mis-match of scenes from Liar Liar, with totally worthless subplots. The writing was OK, but it was executed well at all. The rating was a 7.5/11 as I understand. It's the exact same rating that 8 Simple Rules received. The ratings will drop quite badly next week though, without Lilith on Frasier.

I didn't think it was horrible and I didn't think it was all that great either. Is it just me or do new sitcoms just get worse and worse?

I watched as much as I could stand which worked out well as I was able to watch the last 25 minutes of another show on at the same time.
