Isn't that what Miss Landers "theashay" called her?
I was reading Jerry Mathers' book, which is awesome by the way, and he says that Miss Landers name was never revealed in all of the show's run, but I'm sure her fiance called her Alice (or at least referred to her as such.) ![]() |

It's definitely Alice. That's what her fiance Mr. Brittingham called her when she came to the door in the episode where Beaver finds out she's getting married.

Not only does 'Thomas Brittingham' call her "Alice," but if you pause a recording at the time the newspaper item is shown in Whitey's hand, I know you can read "Mr. and Mrs. Harold Landers of Mayfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Alice.... the bride-to-be is a local girl...." I don't recall the entire caption, but I am sure these quotes are very close to the gist. The printing is small and does lack clarity, and that is probably deliberate.
