Default The N adding 'Just Deal' and 'Alex Mack'

Noggin Adds 'Just Deal,' 'Alex Mack'

Teen series "Just Deal" and "The Secret World of Alex Mack" will find a home on cable's Noggin, which will premiere both shows Jan. 6 on its tween programming block, known as the N.

"Just Deal," which depicts the tumultuous friendships of three teens attending the same school, spent the last two years on NBC's Saturday morning slate before the schedule was revamped in October.

"The Secret World of Alex Mack" concerned a teen girl with sought-after super powers. It ran on Noggin's sister network Nickelodeon 1994-98.

Both shows were created by Tom Lynch. "I was working with Noggin on some new stuff and then I found out that they were going to be running some of my shows," he told Daily Variety. "I feel like ("All in the Family" creator) Norman Lear at Nick at Nite."

Besides these two series, Lynch has several other projects in development for the N. In the "Howitt Twins," two siblings star on a reality TV show; the series is a possible January pickup. And "My Sister Is a Rock Star" concerns a teen trying to grow up in the shadow of his superstar older sister a la Britney Spears.

YAY!!!

I can't wait to see Alex Mack again!

BTW, Pb, do you know if "Just Deal" will have new episodes on Noggin?...or would they just be re-running the only season it had on NBC?

Woohoo! Alex Mack is back! Loved this show when it first aired. They should also bring back Are You Afraid of the Dark. The first one though, not the newer one.

Personally, I'd dig a return of "You Can't Do That on Television".

I love childhood nostalgia.
