I was reading the post about the Petries having more children and got to thinking about other things, such as, why couldnt they ever let Sally get married? I've always felt that was a bad move, because its left me feeling sorry for her over the years. What if she *never* got married? *lol* (Like they were real characters). Anyway, to see the show end with Sallys unfinished business left me with this "hanging" feeling, wondering what if. And the Helpers supposedly had a son and a daughter, but the son was the only one ever seen, "Freddie". Were the writers sexists or was it just "the way of the 60s"? What if Rob and Laura had had a daughter *instead* of a son? Why couldnt that have happened? And what about Buddy and Pickes? They fought *all* the time and was even a running joke amongst the characters. Why would two people that miserable stay together? Even Buddy's mother never liked Pickles. Could it be a stance of independance on Buddy's part because his mother never liked Pickles or was Buddy just one of those guys with personal security issues? And why, in all of those episodes of parties and dinners and get-togethers, didnt we ever get to see Mels wife/Alans sister? What was her name, even? So many unanswered questions...

Actually we saw their daughter, Ellen in one episode, "Oh, How We Met the Night That We Danced". It was mentioned that they had a daughter named Patty but we never saw her.
