Most episodes are very good, the last four episodes that they did 2 years ago were very bad I thought but it definetly is one of the best Britcoms of recent years.

I've got the DVD of the complete first season.
I think the character of Alice is the funniest.

I can't say enough good stuff about The Vicar of Dibley...it is wonderful.

However, I kind of agree with Jethro...the last few shows were very disappointing. It lost the plot somewhat.

Still hopeful that Richard Curtis can find some time to write some more episodes though!

I think if they were to do more they would not be very good still.

The characters are far too over the top now, they make everyone in the villiage out to be completely stupid but they didn't do that in the early ones.
Also the baby helped make the most recent episodes not funny.

I liked this series as well when it was on TV. Fav episode has to be when the vicar had to eat all these dinners for a holiday.
