Default New TZ

I gave it another chance tonight and I'm still not impressed by it. Granted, the first episode tonight was better than last weeks. The second episode tonight had an expected ending. I was talking to one of my friends online and even before the episode went off, I said that I bet the guy is going to be the drawing and the girl created him. I was correct. It wasn't even a surprise to me. Most of the original TZ's had the surprise factor. You might assume something was going to happen, but then you had the total twist ending. That was the exact opposite of what you were thinking.

It also seems the new TZ is trying to hook sexy images into the show, so people will turn in. What is it? Why does every show seem to rely on the sex jokes or the girl in the bikini or whatever?

I just had to say that I'm not impressed. What does everybody else think about it? I might try and catch it next week to see if the next episode changes my mind.

I want to admit something though. This is the year 2002, so I expected the writers to come up with these unbelievable stories that would outrun the 60's writers. For example, the technology is better- so you would think today's writers could come up with these out of sight stories involving our future. I must say that the 60's writers are still running circles around us. They seem to have more imagination than the writers for today.

Maybe it was because they lived in the 60s? In the 60s they could dream up all these inventions, but since we are living in 2002 it seems we expect it to be served on a silver platter to us. I'm not even sure if I'm making sense. I'll come back to my post tomorrow and try to explain some more.

I only saw the beggining of the first one, and then turned it off because I WAS NOT impressed. Then, I started to watch the second one to see if it had improved any. It hadn't. As a result, I don't think I'll watch next week.
