Default I just got the DVD

i haven't seen any episodes or any of the extra stuff but just wanted to say that the packaging is really nice and it's definetly worth the money. By the way i bought it at Costco for $32.99 plus tax, so it wasn't that expensive.

That's great, DayTripper! I got it too (Amazon's 2-day shipping turned out to be faster than thought! LOL!). All I can say is, "It's awesome!!!" Not that I'm biased or anything ;-) Even if Season 1 isn't your favorite, just buy it for the bonuses and stuff.

According to the little card inside the box, Season 2 is due out March of 2003! Can't wait!

Thank the Lord my mom has a membership to Costco! Thanks for that tip! But that still doesn't solve the problem that I don't have a DVD player yet...lol

So Season 2 is coming out for sure then??!! Yea!!!!!!! I thought they wouldn't release the other seasons until they saw how S1's sales did.

Ok, now I need details folks! How are the extras? I'm really excited to see the Emmy bits for some reason. Does it show their acceptance speeches and everything? What other extras do they have? I'm dying with anticipation here!

Calm down....must calm down...

The extra's rock!!!! The emmy clips are really cool, but they're all from the '70-71 Emmys (Makes sense, since this is the first season!) You get to see Ed and Val accept their awards. Poor Val was so shocked that she won and starstruck that Lucille Ball presented the award to her, she could barely talk!! You also get to see the writers accept an award.

There's a documentary of all new interviews! It goes more in-depth than "TV-Ography" or any of those other specials did. And there's a trivia quiz where the cast and crew ask you mulitple choice questions! Ed says in the DVD that if you get them all right (Which I did!) there's a job waiting for you at WJM! LOL!

Does this help, Becki?

even without the extras it's worth it because the picture looks ten times better than broadcast tv episodes and they are uncut.

Default The way a seasonal set of DVD's should be!

What an awesome set of DVDs! Personally, the first season is my favorite, so I was really excited when I heard the news about this set.

I haven't had time yet to watch everything (just got it a few hours ago - via Amazon), but the quality is incredible!!

Now, if only the long awaited and promised Dick Van Dyke ENTIRE series DVD would come out (supposedly by Christmas), then I'd have plenty of Mary, Mary, Mary!

B&W "all other companies should take their cue from Fox and offer affordable DVD sets like this one" fan
