Default Who deserved their own spinoff?

What character was worthy of having their own spinoff show? I thiknk Pearl would have had a chance. Of course NBC never picked up "Jackee" Anyone else?

Jackee should have gotten her own show as Sandra Clarke--no question about it. I think Brenda and Calvin could have gone away to college and had their own show (kind of like "A Different World"). As much as I liked Pearl, I dont know if she could have carried her own show.
Rose, no. And those new characters (like Dylan etc.) could have been spun off just to get rid of them from 227!

I always thought that Brenda and Calvin could have made an excellent spinoff of 227. They could have placed it on after A Different World. They could have brought back Tiffany who they would have ran into on the college campus. A good explanation for her disappearence that she went back to live with her father.

I always thought the other characters were introduced as a possibly of creating a spinoff as it was so many of them. NBC should have gave "Jackee" an initial 13 episode run to test the waters as a midseason replacement.

You want her to go live in a coffin? (this is from my understanding that Rose is widowed, not divorced)

My favorite characters were in order pretty much Sandra, Rose, Lester, Mary, Pearl, Brenda, Calvin. So naturally I would say if I wanted to see a character spun-off my first choice would be Sandra, but we all saw how that turned out, lol.

And to think they even aired the pilot after the Cosby Show which was doing big in the numbers at the time. I still would liked to see an initial 13 though as everything can be explained or carried out in a pilot. It would have been nice to see them bring Regina King and Curtis Baldwin during the season after 227 got cancelled to see their characters expanded.

Getting to your other point, we all know sitcoms have a problem with continuity so we could have worked with that, lol. Especially with how writers and producers come and go.
