Here's a bit of information I received from the Parents Television Council:
Familyland TV Features Family-Values Television Programming Familyland Television Network (FL-TV) is working to use television to educate, inspire, and entertain, rather than undermine positive family values. Familyland TV is one of 36 TV and radio channels available through the Sky Angel Satellite with a Dish brand receiving system. It is a family-values oriented network that offers a mix of family-friendly entertainment and spiritual programming, aiming to draw families together. FL-TV’s programs feature family classics such as Bonanza, The Loretta Young Show, and The Lone Ranger, family sitcoms like Andy Griffith, Ozzie & Harriet, and Make Room for Daddy; practical news and information shows like Today’s Homeowner, Sportsweek, and Fishing with Shelly and Courtney; and classic family movies such as Heidi, Life with Father, and Lassie’s Great Adventure. All programs are carefully reviewed and edited to exclude immodesty, foul language, excessive violence, and disrespect to lawful authority. Sky Angel’s other channels feature daily news and commentary on national and international news, programs on health and home life, educational programs for children, sports and outdoors programs, and multi-cultural programs. For additional information on viewing Familyland Television Network through Sky Angel, call 1-800-773-2645 or visit www.familyland.tv. Does anyone here get this channel? (According to the website it's currently available over Adelphia Cable in the Cleveland, Erie, western New York, and western Pennsylvania areas in addition to the Sky Angel network.)
