A lot of people voiced their opinions about how they liked the 1st season better than the others. I myself am a first season lover too. I think they made the changes because there was a big change in the look for the mid 1980's. The show at first was (to me anyway) a warm milk and cookies type of show with Scott Baio on screen with the preppy, clean look.
In 1985, many changes came to television. Especially the look in TV shows and theme songs. I.E the Facts of Life Different Strokes, and Silver Spoons. If you have ever seen these shows b4 the fall of 85's and then during the fall of 85' you'll understand where I'm coming from. Anyway in 1986, when Charles was in production for new shows, the warm milk, preppie college look was out. Scott continued to dress preppie for the first few shows of the 86-87 season but kinda changed up a bit. Things were changing in the 80's so Charles had to as well. |
