Default Can anyone tell me why Martin Lawerence was banned from Saturday Night Live?

I found out that martin lawerence was banned from saturday night live in 1992-i was wondering what he did or said for that to happen-Does anyone know?

I remember watching the SNL that Martin Lawrence hosted in its first run on NBC. I remember that he told a few raunchy jokes in the opening monologue. I don't remember exactly what it was that he said but I think that it was the monologue that got him banned.

Yeah i was always wondering what happen that caused martin to get banned from SNL-especially since i never been a saturday night fan-thanks for your response

I remember this. He told some raunchy jokes in the opening monologue. They had to do with women's hygiene.

It was unfortunate because he was funny in some of the skits.

Now when they show that skit on SNL...They tease the monologue and then right before the nasty spot they run a disclaimer over it and then show the ending. You can hear what he was saying in the opening by listening to one of his comedy records, it rips off a bit from Redd Foxx about washing your a**. The album is called Martin Lawrence: Talkin' Sh*!.
