I've never seen this show. I know Larry David the creater of Seinfeld also created this show. But what is it about?

You beat me to the first post W&GF! LOL! I've been wanting one ever since I got hooked on the show.Basicly it's Seinfeld without Jerry Seinfeld. It's a pretty funny show.My favorite episode is Episode #2 ("Ted and Mary").Don't worry because it'll be out on DVD in a year or 2 (Most likely).

Yeah, it's about nothing just like Seinfeld. The show is pretty funny. I loved the Trick or Treat episode, boy was that one a riot. I'm glad the Emmy people nominated the show for best comedy.

It's set in LA, and Larry plays a married writer as opposed to a bachelor standup comedian in New York with 3 eccentric friends. You can find similarities in many sitcoms, but this show is not a ripoff. It's one of the most clever, unique shows to hit television in a while. |

Important to point out that Larry David doesn't just play any married writer, he plays himself--the creator of Sienfeld. So the show is set near Santa Monica and the stories often have Hollywood characters playing themselves in their dealings with Larry David. Such as in one episode Larry runs into Rob Riener in the waiting lobby of the therapist who they are both seeing. Rob Riener asks Larry to donate his time to a cause that Rob is raising money for, a cure for a disease, by having lunch with a fan, who is donating money to the cause. Larry is reluctant to do that because he's nervous that the fan will expect him to be entertaining. Riener talks him into it, and Larry acts like an idiot at the lunch because he's trying to hard to be entertaining. In that same episode there is a very strange situation that takes place between Larry and the therapist. So there are usually two or three stories developing all at the same time in each episode.
