I am a bit saddened by the loss of this great show. I really got into the cast, and what a great cast it was. They really could have done something with this show, and odd's are it would have attracted a great demographic to Fox, mostly the college demographic I guess. Does anyone know what most of the cast is doing now? I am also a bit angered by the fact that Andy Richter Controls The Universe, which replaced Undeclared around March, did even worse in the ratings repartment than Undeclared, yet it is coming back for another season. What gives?

"Undeclared" was the best new comedy that premiered on FOX last season. I am just as saddened as you that for some reason, it never found a large enough audience. I would have thought it would have appealed to anybody who remembers what it was like to live in a dorm, becuase I think it captured that aspect of college life perfectly.
What really ticks me off is that the show's creator Judd Apatow, who also created the late great series "Freaks And Geeks" is one of the funniest minds on TV today, but his work has not found an audience.

FOX cancelled many good shows this season...
but don't worry there is a bunch of sucky crap like, "Girls Club," "Firefly," and "John Doe" to satisfy us! ![]() |

I think "Undeclared" was too controversial for FOX. The characters drank and fooled around, but they never got in trouble for it.
If this had been a traditional sitcom or teen drama, a charcter who took a drink usually gets into a car accident, resulting in injury and the end of the episode promise of "I will never drink again." The moral of the show young viewers - drinking is evil!!! The worst thing that ever happend to the guys on "undeclared" was the occasional hangover, which is the worse thing that happens to most folks who drink. Maybe it wasn't the most moral show on the dial, but "Undeclared" was probably the most real show about teens on TV. |
