on saturday and asked if they had the Jerry Mathers' Autobiography. They said they don't have it and the only way they could get it is if i ordered it. I said I didn't want to now because I haven't even seen the book yet. I actually want to look at the book before I decide to buy it. Also, they said it's not in obligation to buy. So, no copies of the book will be at the store UNTIL someone orders it. I'm guessing it's the same at the other BN locations around here. Does anyone know of any other bookstores that could have it?

I had to order my LITB books online at Amazon.com. But if you are a LITB fan I don't think you will be disappointed in Jerry Mather's autobiography even if you don't get to look through it first. I own "And Jerry Mathers as The Beaver" and "The World According to Beaver" and I would recommend them to any LITB fan.

Since there's no obligation to buy it, why don't you go ahead and order the book and then when it arrives at the bookstore, look at it and decide then? Personally, I think its a really good book.

I would definitely recommend amazon.com. I think on that site you can preview a few of the pages. If you do order the book and you don't like it, you can sell it on ebay.

I went to Amazon.com today in fact to see about ordering the book. They have 3 books you can get: Jerry Mathers Autobio, Call me Lumpy (Frank Bank's autobio), and the World according to Beaver and on this book they had a special feature where you could preview 31 pages of the book. So, if you want any of these books, Amazon.com is your best bet!

Hey, i saw the autobiography at amazon but it doesn't say a price for a new copy. It just says about the used copies starting at like 37 bucks!!! I just want an idea of what a price would be for a new copy. anyone know?

I looked for you and I don't see a price either except for the used price. That is a bit ridiculous for a book that is used to be $37. How about the library? They have a system here that you can get books through other branches nearby. Maybe your library has the same kind of system? That way you can read the whole book and if you don't like it- it didn't cost a dime. And if you do like it enough to buy, try ebay. They have a bunch of cheaply priced items on ebay. |

I just checked Amazon.com and saw that ridiculous price of $37.00 too. I purchased my copy about 6 months ago from Amazon's used book sellers and I paid around $3.95. I wonder why the sudden increase? If I ever see it for a reasonable price in the future I plan to grab it quick just to have another copy in case I know anyone who wants it.

Yeah, I checked out the library by my house, but they don't even carry it. I should try other area libraries, too. I should try the Milwaukee Public Library because that's the biggest library closest to me and I've never even been there before!
