Yeah, I don't like Courtney Love, either.

I don't think they should do this. I mean, nothing can beat the original cast.

But, for kicks and giggles.. I'm gonna give ya my cast list:

Laverne: Drew Barrymore
Shirley: Natalie Portman
Lenny: Ryan Gosling
Squiggy: Dana Carvey
Carmine: David Spade
Frank: Jerry Stiller
Edna: Mary Tyler Moore (Maybe...? Only person I can think of, offhand.)

Just my two cents.

Ohmigosh, yes! Go out and rent Lost & Found... besides the fact that it's a hilarious movie, Davey sings in it. I think he sings quite well when he tries.

.::laughs::.

I just had this mental picture of him dancing on Just Shoot Me. He was doin' the robot. LOL.

Anyway, I think with some lessons, anyone can dance... tap or otherwise.

((But then again, I don't think there's too many guys... if any... in Hollywood nowadays who can tap dance AND sing. In fact, I don't think there's mant that can tap dance alone. Ah... where have all the Fred Astairs gone?))

How about Jack Black as Squiggy and Will Ferrell as Lenny?

I don't like Jack Black, so how about Chris Kattan?

Jimmy Fallon wouldn't be bad, either.

Will Ferrell's all right.

I can see Ann Bancroft as Edna Babish. She'd be good.

Shirley: Reese Witherspoon would be an excellent choice.
Carmine: Jason Biggs

That's all I could come up with for now
