MIA soldier (s) ??

So glad to have found this great site. Would love any info or updates
on two episodes: one involved a young man named Curtis Borter
or Bortner who was listed as MIA in Vietnam in the 60's; his family
stated that they believed he may have been on a secret mission
and his sister even reported she thought she had seen him twice
since his possible death in Vietnam. Another relative stated that
when he attempted to check the solider's SSN to see if he was still
listed as being alive, he was threatened by a stranger.
The other episode involved a woman who father went missing from
a US military base when she was a young child, don't recall if this
was during WWII or Korea. The military said he had gone AWOL but
many of her father's personal belongings had been removed from
their home on the case, while she and her mother were visiting out of state. She has searched for her father ever since....she received
a phone call on a celll phone several years ago after a story in her
local paper, the caller gave some fairly plausible info and told her
that her father was still alive "in a land of clear blue lakes and mountains." Any info - names, locations, etc, that anyone has will
be appreciated very much, thanks!
