Years ago, as I was watching MTM being interviewed on the David Letterman Show, I saw a clip he ran of DVD and MTM doing a cigarette commercial as Rob and Laura Petrie, from their living room on Bonnie Meadow Road. I remember how absolutely stunning MTM looked in a light colored, skin tight dress. Has anyone else seen it?
I sure hope they did more, because I hope they'll include all of that stuff when they finally release DVD on DVD!

I believe they did a cigarette (sp?) commercial like that, since their sponsor was a cigarette company. I just heard today that the DVD you mentioned is supposed to be out by Christimas of this year! Kristen |

Your right Kristen! This is what the official site says: June 15, 2002 The manufacturing of the DVD disks by Image Entertainment is continuing with great attention and care to the quality of the images. The first batch of digital transfers were rejected because they did not met the high standards you would expect. We will do everything possible to ensure a release of the collectible set in time for Christmas 2002. Lets hope it is true this time! Christina *I really hope it works this time* E |

Kent Cigarettes were the sponsor of DVD. I have a few copies of their "DVD' spots. Not only do they featre Moore & Dyke, but some of the other commericals feature just about everyone else on the show. Except Ritchie of course.
Those interested should seek out Video Resources ( dont know their website ). A company based out of New York that sells tapes of commericals. They Even have the infamous Flintstones/ Winston ads that have Barney Rubble talking to adults about Winston's "pure white filter " Even Wilma was seen firing up a smoke. Those were the days!!! |
