Since Father's Day is this weekend, who does everyone think is the best TV dad? My top three would have to be Mike Brady, Rob Petrie, and Jim Anderson on Father Knows Best.

Although I think John Goodman as Dan Conner was the funniest dad on television I don't think he was the best since he wasn't real close with his kids.
But super dads were: Cliff Huxtable-The Cosby Show Mike Brady-The Brady Bunch

Mike Brady is Righteous, for he holds Brady Life together in the Palm of His Hand. Of course be that as it may, it must be said that indeed Mike has all the qualities of Father Right Here:
1: kind 2: gentle to others 3: good to his woman 4: good to the Grid; yea and even Alice 5: comes home from work at a good hour 6: treats the family generously 7: he's gay (happy is the man that follows one that is like Mike) meaning he's happy 8: good at discipline 9: a real sweetheart to our furry friends (Tiger) 10: and finally, when Robert Reed/Mike wasn't on a bender about slapstick or CheeseWiz or something, he and the Brady Grid are: Righteous
