I just looked at ALF's schedule on the TVGuide website and noticed that the show only comes on Saturday mornings now. A few months ago, I remember it came on Monday-Saturday. We only get the Hallmark channel on Sundays (go figure...; the rest of the week it's religious programming), so I've never bothered keeping up with the schedule... but this makes me wonder: Going from 6 days a week to once a week is pretty drastic.
So my question is, does anybody have any clue what the actual odds are of ALF being picked up by another network if Hallmark drops it completely? I would love to see it moved to a channel that more people get. We don't get it where I live in Maryland and we didn't have it in Washington, DC, where I attended school, either. I think ALF would be a prime candidate for Nick@Nite, TNN or TBS. It's just a matter of the NETWORKS realizing that (I wonder when Hallmark's contract/licensing {whatever it is} of the show expires...) Nick@Nite did, after all, have an ALF marathon in February 2001, so could that perhaps be a ray of light that it will be shown on that network in the future? ALF has been one of my all-time favorite shows since it first aired. I used to have dozens and dozens of the original episodes on tape, but about 5 years ago, I was STOOOOPID and taped figure skating over all but about 3 eps. ::sigh:: I don't think I've ever kicked myself so hard for something in my life! So I have those few eps and the N@N marathon that I just keep watching over and over... More than any other show, I'd love to see ALF come on a COMMON cable channel!!! -Katie
